Potential Vampire Diaries Story
I'm warning you already, that I'm writing a potential crossover story. It will be a Harry Potter/Vampire Diaries crossover, but not like the ones we've all read before.
In this story, it is fem!Harry and she is called Faith. At the end of the war – for which Voldemort won, because the true evil was actually Dumbledore (long story, explained in the actual story) – Voldemort gave Faith the chance at a new life in an entirely new world. Through a ritual fuelled with the love and hope of all those who loved her, she was sent to this new world.
The Vampire Diaries world.
She was reborn as Grace Gilbert, younger sister to Elena and older sister to Jeremy. Her magical core from her old world will have travelled with her and, in this new world, make her a very special type of witch. Her magical core will almost be like a second heart; another muscle in the body that has to be trained and developed. Faith/Grace will have all her memories of her previous life, but will be fully able to disconnect herself from them (almost like you can when reading a book, or watching a movie) and only be able to feel what she wants to feel when she thinks she can handle it.
Faith/Grace will be born from an affair that Miranda Gilbert had during a difficult year in her marriage to Grayson Gilbert. One day, she just got in her car and drove away, wanting to think through her life and marriage. She stayed away for two months, living out of pocket, camping in her car or in the woods. She stumbled across a party in the woods one day, joined in the fun, got drunk and slept with a random stranger.
Waking up in her car alone the next morning, Miranda knew that she had to go back home. She went back to her husband and told him everything. They both agreed to go through therapy and try to work on their marriage.
Then, Miranda discovered she was pregnant. She gave birth to Faith/Grace and Grayson accepted her as his own – though it became an open secret in Mystic Falls that she wasn't.
Being doctors, Miranda knew that there was a side of her daughter's medical history that was completely blank to her. For the first year of Faith/Grace's birth, there were a few scares that the child had an unknown illness, because she never seemed to settle or to be particularly happy.
A year after Faith/Grace, Jeremy was born and his birth helped heal any wounds between the couple.
Miranda made the decision to try and find her daughter's father. With Grayson's support, Miranda once again packed her car, fitted her daughter into her car seat and drove off. It took weeks of searching but, by chance, Miranda found him close by where she had originally met him. She had stopped off to get supplies in a small supermarket and had seen him in one of the aisles. He saw her, with Faith/Grace in her arms, and knew instinctively that he was looking at his own daughter.
Miranda was no stranger to the supernatural. So, when her one-night-stand explained that he was a werewolf, she was understandably frightened. However, for her daughter's sake, she reigned in her fear and listened to everything he was telling her.
The man's name was Matthew Labonair and he was the Alpha of his Pack. He was a werewolf born of two Crescent bloodlines and was the sole True Alpha to one of the Seven Werewolf packs all over the world. He was trapped under a curse that only allowed him to be human once a month, on the full moon. Now, Faith/Grace was his only heir.
Miranda took all this information in and, over the next month, realized that this was a side to her daughter that she could never knowingly or willingly keep from her. Once every few months, Miranda would take Faith/Grace to her father and let them spend the night together, so that her daughter would be able to learn everything that she needed in case she ever triggered her werewolf gene.
As Faith/Grace grew, so did her magic. With the help of Sheila Bennett, Miranda was able to get Faith/Grace a bracelet that would allow her to channel her magic and stop the outbursts that could expose her to the Mystic Falls Founder's Council as more than human.
Matthew died when Faith/Grace was thirteen and, with her full permission, Jackson Kenner took over the Pack. To keep her safe from the vampires in New Orleans – who were growing increasingly suspicious of behaviour in the Bayou - Faith/Grace had to limit her connection to her Pack to the occasional phone calls once a month.
Faith/Grace kept her werewolf heritage from her stepfather, brother and sister on the request of her mother and father, but they were all well-aware of Faith/Grace's magic.
This story would start in the Pilot episode of Vampire Diaries and continue well into the Originals. In fact, Faith/Grace will have a strong connection to the Original family. I'm mostly going to see what happens with any emotional or romantic attachments, but I am thinking of Faith/Grace ending up with Klaus and being the mother to Hope, instead of Hayley.
Hayley will definitely be in this story, but she will obviously not be the true Alpha and will only be of one Crescent Bloodline, whereas Faith/Grace will have both, making her the true Queen. It will be Faith/Grace who will realize that Hayley is the long-lost Andrea Labonair, her thought to be dead cousin.
This will contain flashback of Faith/Grace's first life. However, the main part of this story is that, the Wizarding World are actually watching Faith/Grace's life. Like those reading/watching fanfictions, this is what the Wizarding World is doing.
The ritual that allowed Faith/Grace to have a new life, is now allowing them all to see if their efforts were in vein, or not.
(Can anyone else picture Molly Weasley screaming at a ritual television screen?)
