Mariah
Mariah shuddered as she lied in a heap of crap. She lied in a warm puddle with her arm and leg lying in an unnatural position. Her head felt fuzzy and she wondered why she was there. During a moment of clearness through her pain she remembered that it had all fallen on her during the recent attack on her colony. She sighed as she remembered dazedly. It had just been a normal, beautiful, boring day on Santa Ferracis 11 when suddenly, without warning, shots started firing through the sky and hitting the classically designed structures in her city. She'd heard people panicking and people yelling to run towards shelter. She started to run towards shelter, but her being her stupid self, she'd run to hide in the shadows of one of the magnificent buildings thinking there was no way anyone would wreck those. She shook herself out of her thoughts. I'm starting to go in to shock, she realised as she remembered a health course that she'd had to take when she turned fourteen, three months ago. I've got to keep myself awake or I'll get worse or not wake up again. Keep awake, keep awake, keep awa. she felt herself slipping away. Why stay in all this pain when I can just go to the warm place and stay there. I won't feel the pain. She was almost totally unconscious when she heard a light masculine voice a few meters away call out, ' Hey you guys! Come over here quick. There's another one in this pile. Her life sign's are very weak though." They talked some more, but Mariah was in the dark, warm place.
