A soft cry pulled the woman from her sleep, her sapphire eyes snapping open and stealing a quick glance around the room. It was plain, save for the few pictures of the pair plastered across the walls. She lay there for a moment in the dark, listening to the soft sound of her partners breathing, a small smile stretching across her face. She shifted slightly, swinging her legs around and rolling over so she could gaze at the woman sleeping next to her. Evelynn. Her blonde hair fell just past her shoulders, her lips were red enough to put a rose to shame, and although her eyes were shut tight in dreaming, Karsia knew that behind her fluttering lashes, were a pair of stormy green eyes that made her heart stop. Her fingers reached out, tracing over the woman's jawline, the movement eliciting a murmur from her lips. " Neriah…" The name fell from the sleeping woman's lips, the mere sound of it spoken out loud causing the raven locked woman to cringe. That name was something she'd left behind when she'd fallen the first time, but sometimes, she assumed, Evelynn would dream about the days before their wings were stripped away, back when everything was right and whole. She reached forward, pulling the angel to her chest, her hands stroking her sunshine locks as tears threatened to burn their way out. Perhaps one day, she'd make things right again, but for now all she could do, was pray.
