Author's Note: There needs to be more Michi love out there!! I wrote this drabble for digimondrabbles over at LJ. Check it out, it's all sorts of love.

For years, she was the damsel-in-distress. And he was the gallant Prince Charming with shin pads, swooping in to save the day.

If she got into a fight with a boyfriend or they broke up and she needed someone to cry to and hold her and bring back those utmost feelings of security, Taichi was unfailingly there. He'd hug her tightly, stroke her hair and tell her, "You don't need those jerks, Meems. You deserve someone better."

It became a routine almost. Her heart was broken, he'd fix it and that was all there was to it. If the case was bad, he'd kick some ass, maybe. Mimi, not a huge fan of violence, usually tended to discourage this.

She didn't know it when she was dating these countless amount of boys but she figured it out later. She'd subconsciously find out their pet peeves and greatest annoyances and act on them, driving them to break up with her.

Why? So Taichi could come back and hold her in that way that made the world seem just a bit better.

But by the time she realized this, realized why she suffered from so many not-so-broken hearts, he'd turned around and found Sora.

It was then and only then that Mimi discovered what it was to have a broken heart. But unlike before, she couldn't turn around and let Taichi make it all better. Not when he was the one that caused it in the first place.

She was a damsel in distress and he was off playing Prince Charming to her best friend.
