Prologue

This was it for me. The turning point. The point of no return. Were friends realy worth feeling this alone? I was at the crossroad, and my path was anything but clear. I was starting to think life without friends would be better.

1. New Neighbors

I was just finishing twilight when I saw it. A moving truck? On both sides? Weird. So I thought what do I have to lose? I went to greet them. then I saw who they were. Could it be true? Could it actuallly be the cullens standing there?

I suddenly snappped out of my trance. Just act normal Addie I told myself. when I got to the front step I started freaking out, pushing my worries aside I knocked gingerly on the door. Surprise flitted across his face. "Hi I'm Addie" I said.

"Hello" Edward said hesitantly. "Is your name Cullen? Because I must be hallucinating." I said trying to ease the tension.

The next thing I knew I was being pulled into the house. "No need to be so pushy." I said harshly. Ignoring my statement, Edward yelled. "Carlisle?" his voice staturarted with panic.

"What is ...?" he trailed off seeing me. "How ya doin' carlisle?" I said, again trying to relax."Do I know you?" Carlisle said in confusion. "Nope!" I said cheerfully. "Then how do you know me?" he asked and at that moment I read Edward's thoughts. Not good. Time to negotiate.

"I will answer your questions when Edward stops thinking about killing me."I said. The vampire in question hissed in surprise. "Okay." Carlisle said after Edward had calmed down. "In answer to your question." I stated.

"I read about you in a book, which I have right here." I said pulling out twilight.

"By the way can I use your phone? My mom will freak out if she doesnt know where I am." Carlisle said to go ahead. I could hear them listening to my mom's response. "Okay but dont be a nuisance." " That ship has sailed." I muttered under my breath.

"What?" she questioned curiously. "Nothing."I assured her. as soon as I was off the phone the questioning began. "How did you know where to find us?" Edward questioned. "I didn't, I just came to see who the next door neighbors were." I explained.

"Where did you get this book?" Carlisle asked. "I found it in my attic." I said. They were both surprised at this. "Well," I said gettting up. "While you mull this over I'm going to greet the other neighbors. Say hi to Bella for me." At the mention of Bella, Edward lunged for me. Reading his mind, I sprung into a back handspring. "How did you do that?" Carlisle asked shocked.

"Mind reading and 8 years of gymanastics, my friend." I replied. then I turned to edward. "You have a really bad temper, you know that?" just then a throughty chuckle came from the other room. So I yelled,"Hiya emmett." both carlisle and edward looked shocked. and then I left.
