Golden Sun
Golden sun,
Setting before his very eyes,
For the sun could never love the night,
The night which allows innocents to die.
Golden sun,
Forever loving life.
Darkened night,
Filled with hatred, jealousy, and strife.
She is the sun,
The golden sun.
I am the night,
The bleak, black night.
Golden sun,
Adoring the moon.
Silver moon,
Stole her from him all too soon.
Darkened night,
Mourning the loss of love,
Overshadowed by the silver moon,
As he gazes upon the sun from above.
I wish she were my sun,
My golden sun.
I wish I could be her moon,
Her silver moon.
Golden sun,
Rises back to the sky.
The silver moon,
She dreams of him from her place so high.
But the darkened night,
She remembers not him.
Only ever the silver moon,
And the shining stars which surround him.
Golden sun,
Wil you never be my golden sun?
Will you shine only for the moon,
The silver moon?
Authors Note:
This poem is about Snape's love for Lily, and his jealousy when she chose
James over him. Snape has already become a Death Eater here and believes
that Lily could never love someone so 'evil'. This switches back and forth
from narration to Snape's point of view. Please R&R. All tips and comments are welcome.
