Song of Aurora
Chapter 1: Aurora's Gift
"Suppose we go to the garden, Dagger?"
"No Zidane, It's full of bugs! And I don't want Aurora to get bitten!"
They were walking toward the RiverSide Manor, wondering what to do in such a hot and humid day.
With this Aurora, their 5 year year old little girl, tripped over a root popping up from the ground and fell. Her dress was now dirty and her bonnet fell of her head.
"Aurora! Are you alright?" exclaimed Dagger rushing to the fallen little girl.
"I am OK mommy…." she said weakly.
Dagger examined the cut and found it healing before her very eyes! The child was healing herself!
"Mommy….(weakly) What's happening… Why did my cut go.. away so soon..?"
"I don't know Aurora, I don't know."
By then, Zidane was by Daggers side, his hand on her shoulder. He thought deeply and then said, "Dagger, this isn't the first time this happened, right?"
Dagger got Aurora's hand and shook her head. No this was the second time!
Zidane clearly remembered the first but his lack of what to say foced him to make that remark. He remembered:
Aurora was in pain. She had fallen off the swing
when she was two.
I was there and so was Dagger,
but as soon as Aurora went to sleep
so suddenly; we grew scared.
We may have been scared of her sleeping,
but now we understand that it is a gift.
"Do you think we should order to call Vivi? See if he can cast a spell to tell us if it is what we think?" said Dagger after Aurora had again so suddenly slept in her arms.
"Yes, maybe he can help us. If it is White Magic… It must be… She may just have gotten it from you at birth."
"Do you think she has an Eidolon like Eiko and I?"
"Maybe… I am tired let's go to sleep."
" 'Night, Zidane."
" 'Night, Dagger."
