From Ancient Rome:

"Nomos", meaning law and order and rationalism, and " Physis " meaning nature and passion

Physis…I am physis.

Nomos…I am nomos

I am a two sided coin.

A double-edged sword.

Dual personality?

Better than no personality at all isn't it?

I knew someone with no personality.

He has no soul.

We used to be friends, best friends. Now I take care of him as he looks at me blankly. Sometimes I think I see a flicker of understanding, of intelligence, of humanity in his eyes.

But than it disappears and he turns blank again.

You think I am insane don't you?

Maybe you're right.

I laugh as I realize that its all so simple to understand, "nomos" is me all the time. Except for that one night a month when I have- no I am Physis!

Passion and nature.

Dangerous.

Very dangerous.

Physis was looked on as evil. Normally shown as a woman in Misogynistic Rome. A man was nomos. Law, order, and rationalism.

Liquor is powerful.

Almost as powerful as blood.

Blood, what the wolf wants…sometimes even as a human I crave it, I want it. But I normally ignore that little voice inside of me.

Normally.

I was tired of being nomos.

It is the night before the full moon, when the cravings are the strongest.

It was a waste of a body anyways.

I mean, what's the point of a body without a soul?

Now he's with all the others.

Remus Lupin was found dead of self-inflicted poisoning yesterday morning. Sirius Black, his childhood friend of whom he was caretaker for, (who was wrongly accused of being a death-eater and had his soul sucked by dementors 5 years ago) is no where to be found. Any one with information is asked to contact the Ministry of Magic by owl post.

That was weird! I have no idea where it came from. If you didn't get it that was basically Remus in a world where Sirius has his soul sucked. He is taking care of him, gets drunk, and gives into the bloodlust, basically eating Sirius in his human form. He realizes what he has done and kills himself. Ew, I know. It just kind of wrote itself after I found the "Physis: Nomos" thing for my World Civ project…
