Prologue
Sakura Haruno was young.
Sakura Haruno was cheery.
Sakura Haruno was spunky.
Sakura Haruno was dependable.
And now, Sakura Haruno was an orphan.
Sakura looked at the monument. Her parents names were just more letters etched in the onyx rock. There were hurdreds of people's names in that rock. But it was more than that. It was their legacy. She thought more. It still was too much for her to handle. They were gone. Forever. Soon it would be like they never even existed. Their lives just wiped away, like salt on a table. Gone. Nothing like them will ever be in this world. Never again. She was all that was left of them.
"Let's go, Sakura." Kakashi's voice was strong but soft.
She looked at the names and wept more. Nothing would ever be the same. Ever. They were gone.
No more family breakfasts together. No more family game night. No more chores. Nothing. And soon enough, it wouldn't even mater, to anyone else that is. To her, it seemed like she'd never forget.
"Come on Sakura, we've been here since dawn It's getting dark." her sensei said. She didn't know it, but she understood her feeling. He understood the shock of never being able to see someone again. Never hear their voice. Never feel their presence. Never again.
The pink haired girl shook her head the slightest bit. She turned and walked away. Not looking back. Not looking back at the monument. Not looking back at the flowers. Not looking back at the silver haired man who wanted so desperately to comfort his miserable student. Not looking back on the world. Just looking fore ward. That's how it was going to have to be now. Always.
A short little prologue, how was it? I am going to say the style probably won't stay like this. I plan on lightening the mood... just a wee little though. Also, they died with the third fighting against the sound/ sand villages. So Sakura is still a bratty little girl. And Sasuke isn't a COMPLETEdick... yet I suppose (translation: he is still in the village). Review please ('-')
