We, as human beings, loved the idea of privacy. We like to hide all the dirty little secrets we have. Not that these secrets matter any more. Despite our love for privacy, we plastered ourselves against all sorts of different social media...

In retrospect, we should have seen it coming. We should have asked "What if this desire to be known comes back to haunt us? What if one day we end up in a world where we are constantly watched?" We should have thought about the possibility. But we were unprepared for it. The alien invasion.

We couldn't stop them. They knew everything about us. They had simply plugged themselves into our social media and learnt. And once they knew all they needed to, they attacked. They came out of nowhere; these large creatures with the basic shape of a human, but much much different. Taller than humans, with hair-like appendages, mandibles and no nose. They were too fast for us to stop, and they had invisibility. How do you fight something you can't see? Their technology far outdistanced our own. Humanity was defenceless against the Predators.

We gave them that name because they're not just watching us, they're hunting us. From what we've managed to intercept, they call themselves the Yautja. Great Eyes hover in the sky over every city and town, and in between the drones fly around. There is nowhere to hide from the Eyes, unless you're inside a mountain, like us. We are the Resistance.

I have been inside one of the Predators' ships before. Those hovering Eyes broadcast from Earth to whoever is tuning in. A small ship of Predators lands on Earth and then the hunt begins. Earth... Humanity... We are nothing more than a sport, than entertainment to the rest of the Universe. However, the game has gotten a lot more dangerous for the Predators. We have begun hunting them back.

It is a dangerous task. Whenever a hunting ship lands, we go out to hunt them and to find any survivors to bring back, while trying to avoid being seen by the Eyes and the drones. Many people have gone into hiding, hoping to live out their lives... in fear. But you can't hide from what you can't see. And the Predators most definitely can still see us, with their ability or technology to see heat.

From stolen Predator technology, the Resistance has managed to create a way for humans to fight back. We have developed an armoured suit which hides our heat signature and we now have visors which allow us to see through the Predators invisibility. We are on equal ground. However, each time we go out, a comrade dies. We need more Resistance fighters.

It has been 5 years since the first attack. It is a lonely and dangerous road we walk, but we do it for the sake of humanity. So let me say this to anyone out there listening to this broadcast:

I am John Connor.

This is the Resistance.

And we are still fighting!
