It lasted forever...

Staring up at a dark gray sky...
I was changed..
Lezard watched Lenneth frantically search for the item she had lost. He was saddened deeply, watching the tears stream down her face. "It's the only thing I have to remember him by..!" she sobbed, digging around for the tiny piece among the Weeping Lilies. Lezard crouched down and helped her search...
In places no one would find,

It was then that I realized
That forever was in your eyes
The moment I saw you cry..

Lezard saw it. It was a tiny earring, hidden beneath the Weeping Lilies' blooms. He closed his palm around it, and slowly walked toward Mystina, Arngrim, and Lenneth. It pained him so to see her this way...

"Lady Valkyrie..." Lezard whispered, kneeling next to Lenneth. He took off his glove with one hand, and placed the earring into it. He opened Lenneth's closed hand and dropped the earring into her palm, closing her hand with his other hand. She looked at him, tears cascading down her cheeks...
