Right at the point where Kira gets pwned by Shinn, presuming that the Impulse Gundam's sword penetrated the Freedom's hyper deuterion reactor, instead of a huge explosion like in the show, a chain reaction occurs at the subatomic level which creates a massive tear in the space-time continuum that engulfs everything within a 5-mile radius, including the Archangel and the Minerva. The get sent across thousands of lightyears of space and are finally spit out in the general vicinity of the Colonial refugee fleet, athough they don't meet immediately. The time-space rift is still present for a while, so other ships will be able to pass through it. But it's a one-way trip and there's no telling where the may end up. And then there are the ever-lurking Cylons to deal with.
Well, that's my start. I'll definitely have to watch more Battlestar Galactica and Gundam Seed Destiny if I'm really going to get this off the ground. As a side note: Yes, I am aware that I have a Halo/Battlestar fanfic that you guys want to see more of. I really am sorry, but I got completely bogged down by writer's blocks, procrastination, and the last school year (difficult homework and groundings included). Plus, things have been more busy this summer than I would have wanted and school will be coming up again in another month and a half (I'll be in junior high --;) I now know what it feels like to be on the other side of the waiting-for-the-author-to-get-off-his/her-ass-and-write-more-fanfic thing, and as a result, have gained a great appreciation for what freelance authors have to go through to make great stories. I will see what I can do regarding my original project but don't hold your breath. It may take a while for me to get anything significant done.
As usual, ideas, suggestions, corrections and even criticisms are welcome. Just no flames please! Peace and love to all! -Burnout360
