"Woah!" breathed Harry Potter as he cut dangerously close to the ground. He swiftly mounted off his Firebolt the snitch in hand.
"Harry!" Cried Ginny Weasley as she stepped onto the Quidditch Pitch her red hair flaming behind her. She was dressed in her Quidditch uniform broom in one hand, and the quaffle in the other.
He gave her a lopsided smile as he headed towards her, " Hey, Ginny."
"That was a really good catch," she complimented.
"Thanks," he replied grinning foolishly.
"Bye," she smiled heading down the field.
Harry nodded slowly then with a moment's hesitation he called out to get, "Ginny! Wait!"
She turned around surprised, "Yes?"
"Will you meet me in the common room at 8:00 p.m?" He asked nervously.
Ginny blinked a little then nodded a smile creeping up on her face, "I'd like that."
"See you then," he replied walking away with a bounce in his steps. His goofy smile still intact as he entered the changing room.
"Harry!" Cried out another red-head this time frowning at him.
"Yeah?"
"What was that between you and Ginny?" Asked Ron looking suspiciously at Harry.
"Nothing," he replied smiling.
"Okay," Ron carefully said.
Harry laughed as he exited the room making sure to throw a smirk Ron's direction, "Yet that is."
OOooOOooOO
Harry nervously paced around the almost empty common room waiting for Ginny to appear. He decided to go semi-formal so it was at this moment he straightened his tie, again.
"You alright mate?" Ron asked as he passed through on his way to Dinner.
"Just a bit nervous," Harry confided in truthfully.
Ron frowned, "This is a date with Ginny, right?"
"Er, yeah."
"I'm not sure how I should feel about this," Ron trailed off rubbing his head.
"Ron," lightly scolded Hermione from behind him, "This is big so he's allowed to be anxious."
"Thanks Hermione," Harry smiled, "We can't all be in a happy relationship like you two."
"I don't remember being that bad," Ron laughed.
"Yeah," agreed Hermione, "You were way worse!"
Ron blushed deeply out reached the tips of his ears. He gave out a nervous laughter looking everywhere but Harry.
"Bye, Harry!"
Harry chucked as Hermione dragged Ron away. He turned around and came face to face with Ginny Weasley.
"Oh," he breathed, "You look breath taking."
Ginny was dressed in a blood red dress that passed off as casual yet formal. Her hair was on a side braid which looked wonderful.
"Shall we go?" Harry asked holding out his arm to her.
"Of course."
Harry walked over to a huge window throwing out open rather dramatic. "Accio Firebolt!"
Ginny grinned, "Well this is unexpected!"
"It's different I know, but your a brave girl. Think you can handle this?" He teased.
Ginny quirked an eyebrow, " I accept your challenge, Potter."
Harry laughed as she mounted on making him the passenger instead.
"Are you feeling brave Potter?"
"Of course," he answered chuckling as she sped up.
" Where are we going?"
" The Black Lake near the tree."
"Okay, I'll get us there quickly!"
Ginny slowed down as they reached their destination.
Harry smiled as she raised her eyebrows at his romantic candlelight picnic. She mounted off his broom and handed it back to him gushing about how amazing it was to ride it in the dark. He saw her retreating figure and maybe it was the moonlight reflecting her beauty but he knrw exactly where he had to be. Naturally, it was by her side.
