Chapter 1: prologue
A/N: this chapter is set before Jaden went to Duel Academy and what happened at home.
Normal **P.O.V**
Jaden Yuki is a 15 year old boy who has duo colored hair brown on bottom, orange on top, loves the color red, and lives in a home with his older brother Haou, mother Jane and father Sam. His father is a drunk which led to Jaden being abused by his father. But that was when he was younger and close to his teenage years (14 to be exact). Right before he came to Duel Academy Jaden's father was arrested for child abuse. When his mother heard of the arrest she fought for her right for custody over Jaden and won full custody. Right before he left for Duel Academy Jaden swore that he would not let any of his friends know about his old life at home (even if he doesn't have any new friends).
You see Jaden as his father abused him throughout the years has become very distant even to his family. It took just his three best friends to come through to Jaden after three years of knowing him to get him to become his friend and to open up to them. He would just put up a happy go lucky façade and he learned to hide his true feelings.
A/N: hey guys sorry i've been absent from this site for a while but i'm back my other stories are right now on hiatus because i'm in the middle of writtting the chapters I need to type up i know this chapter isn't that long but it's a new story and that's all i can come up with for a background chapter so i'm gonna stop rambaling and you guys can tell me what you think of this story so far but please no flames highly appreciated and again sorry i've been absent for a few months it's because of school and band... so see you in the next chapter!
