The Rose-y Accusation

May was walking through Larousse City by herself for once. Ash was too busy training his Pokemon for the upcoming gym battle, Brock was shopping for supplies, and Max

had decided to tag along. Probably to make sure he doesn't flirt with any girls, May mused. She even had her five ribbons for the Grand Festival too. For now, she could do

whatever she pleased until the time came for the next Grand Festival to begin. "It's a nice day out," she said thoughtfully to herself as she ambled down the sidewalk.

Indeed it was. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was crystal clear. Birds were chirping merrily, a cool breeze was blowing, Drew was stealing from someone's rose

bush, people were walking happily... Wait, what? May completely twirled around and walked back to where she had seen Drew moments before. His back was to her as he

kneeled on the ground. "Drew!" May exclaimed in shock, placing a hand over her mouth. "Why are you picking roses off someone else's bush?" Drew stood up, about a

dozen red roses clutched in his hand. He flicked his hair out of his eyes, a familiar gleam entering his eyes. "May, this is-" he began, but May quickly cut him off. "Don't you

know it's wrong to steal?" May began. Drew's mouth curved into a smirk. "I don't think you understand," Drew tried to intervene. May placed her hand on her hip. "Well

do you know stealing is wrong?" May pressed. Drew rolled his eyes, but nodded. Might as well let her finish, Drew thought to himself. "You can't just go around plucking

roses off some bush! It isn't your personal property! Someone could actually really be looking forward to seeing all these pretty roses, and you just steal them away!" May

lectured indignantly. Drew sat on the ground in front of her. This was going to be awhile... May suddenly let out a gasp. "Is this where you got all those roses for Beautifly?"

May made air quotes around Beautifly. Drew attempted to conceal the blush spreading across his face. "Actually, yes, yes I did," Drew answered cockily. If anything, his

answer seemed to make May even more upset. She began pacing in front of him. "I can't believe you gave me roses that didn't belong to you! The poor owner! They

probably looked forward to seeing those roses all year long, and you took them!" May sympathized. Drew flipped his hair, rather amused. She was cute when she was all riled

up. "How would you feel if someone stole your things?" May interrogated, looking straight at Drew again. "Like how you took my backpack last week and had me running

after you?" Drew inquired. May shook her head in denial. "It- it wasn't like that!" She sputtered helplessly. "I gave it back! You didn't give back the roses!" May defended.

Drew chuckled and stood up. "I don't need to," Drew stated simply. "What do you mean-" May started, before Drew grabbed her shoulder and shook her lightly. "This is my

house. I live here," Drew explained. May took a look at the simple greenish house with rose trellises. "Oh," May squeaked in embarrassment. Drew held out the roses.

"Here," he placed it in her hand. "These are for you," May blushed. "Not for Beautifly this time?" May questioned. Drew shook his head. "Nope. For the cutest girl I know," he

declared before walking into the house and shutting the door. May, on the other hand, was opening and closing her mouth in utter disbelief. About half an hour later, Drew

peeked through the curtains of his house to see May still flapping her mouth open and closed. Drew smirked to himself before slowly closing the curtains again.
