"What do you mean we're stranded?"

"Our ship has crashed."

Aegerine rolled her eyes and sighed.

"So what, we're stuck here then?"

"No."

Aegerine stopped walking and looked up at the taller Gem, raising an eyebrow. The tall Gem returned the look.

"We'll find what we're here for. Then I'll contact our Diamond, and we'll be on our way." The small Gem huffed and looked back at the ground.

"What is this place, anyway?"

"... Earth, I believe."

"Huh." Aegerine looked around at the foliage as she walked. "Pretty."

Tanzanite once again looked down at the smaller Gem and frowned, glaring at her from behind her shades.

"We're not here to sightsee, Aegerine. We're here to catch a fugitive, remember?"

"Yeah yeah, I know..." Aegerine paused. She heard Tanzanite sigh.

"... You don't know who we're looking for, do you?"

"Not exactly, no." Aegerine felt that all too familiar glare from the purple Gem.

"Hey, gimme a break," she said. "I'm only a few hundred years old."

"That's no excuse."

"That's your own opinion." replied Aegerine as she stuck out her tongue.

A few moments later, Tanzanite stopped, which resulted in Aegerine bumping into her from behind.

"Hey! Warn me next time, will ya?!"

Tanzanite, ignoring her teammate, turned to the side and from her gem projected a large map of the Earth.

"Our target is here," she said, turning her head whilst placing a small marker on the map. "and we're here." She placed another marker not far from the first. "The fugitive, a Carnelian, is only a few miles from where we stand currently."

Aegerine blinked. "A Carnelian? Weren't they wiped out in the War?"

"Not all of them." replied Tanzanite.

"Sweet!" Aegerine grinned. "I've always wanted to meet one! I can't wai-"

"We're not here to make conversation. The Carnelian is a traitor to our Homeworld and our Diamond. Do you understand that?"

Aegerine frowned and sighed, shoving her hands in her pockets.

"Yeah T, I know..."

Tanzanite shook her head.

"Sometimes you act just like her, I swear." she mumbled under her breath.

"Huh? Wazzat?"

"... Nothing. Don't worry about it. We're almost there."
