Chapter one
Sorting the Twinkies
Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting in the great hall, watching the first years file in waiting to get to the sorting hat. As the first person was sitting down on the stool, the great hall doors burst open and a girl walked in. The girl looked about Harry's age, she had long brown hair, green eyes, and was fairly tall. As she approached the staff table she dropped a backpack onto the floor by the Gryffindor table. Then continued her way to the staff table, when she got there Professor McGonagall said
"Miss Brennan, how nice of you to join us. What kept you from attending at regular time?"
"Those stupid muggles down at the train station had me arrested because I refused to let them check my carry on bag." The girl said
"Well, Alex I believe you still know where your room is and you still have your key." McGonagall said.
"You believe correctly, and, sorry to interrupt the ceremony of the little Twinkies getting sorted professors" All of the first years looked at Alex funny, apparently they had never been called Twinkies before. Frankly Harry never remembered being called a Twinkie either. Alex had to sit next to Harry because there were no other eats open at the Gryffindor table.
"Hello Alex, I'm Harry."
"Hello. Since you know who I am already, there is no need for me to introduce myself." Harry couldn't help but laugh at the sarcastic remark Alex made.
"Alex, what's goin' on?" George said
"George, Fred everything is alright. How about you guys?"
"We're good. Hey there are 2 of our little siblings that you didn't meet yet. This is Ron and this is Ginny, Ginny is the youngest out of the Weasley clan." Ron and Ginny both said hello to Alex when Harry asked
"So Alex, how old are you?"
"I am about 14 and 1/2."
"Wow, same here"
"Now it's just a small world now isn't it"
"Well, I think you look older than you are." Ron said after getting done eating a chocolate frog that he saved from the train.
"Why thank you Ron, and are you the same age as Harry?"
"Yeah."
"Well then maybe we will have some classes together."
"Yeah maybe. I hope we still get to see more of each other"
"I would like that."
"Cool, well I guess we better head up to bed, I'm a little tired. C'mon Ron, let's get going." Harry said he, Fred, and George were all waiting for him at the top of the first staircase. Finally, Ron went up to join his brothers and Harry and they headed off to the Gryffindor tower. While Alex was heading up to her room, Hermione stopped her and said
"Look, I don't want to make a new enemy tonight but I do ant to warn you, DON'T EVER TRY AND MAKE A MOVE ON RON AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"Hermione, I had no idea that you 2 were actually together. I'm sorry."
"Well, we aren't exactly going together."
"If he is free, I am going to try and get him. I like him a lot, and he is returning the feeling. So I guess you have some competition." With those words, Alex walked into her room and slammed the door in Hermione's face.
