((Prompt from hetaliaisamazing (continuation of this previous fic—but in drabble form). I actually started this fic eight different times before one took, so I hope this one is all right!))

"You're going to scare the sh—the living daylights out of your dad if you sneak up on him dressed like that," Lovino said, crouching down to add a spot of makeup to Alicia's cheek. She looked positively ghoulish—long black hair covered most of her face, but what wasn't covered was blue and grotesque. Lovino was quite proud of his handiwork.

"Aw, but Papa," Alicia pouted. "It's Halloween. Dad loves getting scared on Halloween."

Lovino shook his head. What was he supposed to say? Tell her that Al had awful nightmares and couldn't sleep for weeks after Halloween? That it was Lovino who had to share a bed with him and comfort him when he woke up? Alicia was only twelve; she wouldn't get it.

"Go get your brother and sister," Lovino said. They'd all been adopted together, but Alicia was the oldest. She scampered off to track down the four-year-old ghost and eight-year-old mummy that were chasing each other around the back yard, if the shrieking and giggling was any indication. Lovino sighed, and he heard Matthew chuckle behind him.

"Mine are pretty wound up, too," Matthew said. Lovino stood up and stretched to crack his back with a grimace.

"I'm getting too old for Halloween, d*** it," he muttered, but he knew that Matthew would catch him smiling anyway.

"Just wait until Alicia is a teenager," Matthew sighed. His twin boys were thirteen now—as if Lovino could forget.

"Go get Gil," Lovino said. "We're going to need back up for this candy expedition."
