I got a PM the other day from Dawn Bently. She requested this story, so THIS IS FOR YOU, DAWN! Enjoy! Disclaimer: If I owned Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, I'd be stinking rich!

Cammy sat on a wooden bench in De Santie-Coquille Park, waiting for her best friend, Roy. She hummed happily as she kicked her feet, unaware of her father, Gordon, watching from across the park. Her peach-colored hair was tied up into two high pigtails, as usual, but she seemed to have put more effort into it today. And...was that lipstick Gordon saw? Her clothes were all ironed, too!

Suddenly, Cammy saw a familiar head of emerald green hair dart over to her. "'Mornin', Cammy!" he said, gazing at her with eyes oblivious to all but her. Roy took in her well-groomed appearence shockingly. "Why're you all dressed up?" Cammy flushed.

"No reason!" she said with complete truth, turning her head. "Leann got ahold of me when I was on my way here, and she wanted to try out her new make-up kit on me." Roy smiled, but Gordon still saw the disappointment in his face as the boy sat down next to his daughter.

"So," he said. "What do you wanna do today? It's our last day of summer vacation." The priest's daughter sighed and leaned back, lifting her feet off the ground as she stretched.

"I dunno," she replied in a bored tone. "There's not much to do, is there? It's Alvarna, after all. We've done everything to do in this village."

Roy nodded in agreement. "Yeah, it's so boring here, eh? And Mana's really been packin' down the homework, so we couldn't do anything even if there was something!"

"She's just upset that Kyle hasn't come back yet. Aria and Aaron are really depressed, too. They haven't gone to a dungeon in months!"

"Seriously? They love exploring!" The two began talking about trivial matters, and their conversation went on until sundown, when Cammy muttered a curse and made Gordon narrow his eyes.

"I've gotta get goin' or Dad'll skin me alive!" she cried out, making Gordon do a face-fault. "Sorry, Roy, but I'll see you at school tomorrow." As she turned to scurry off, Roy caught ahold of her hand, face beet red.

"W-wait!" he said. "I got somethin' I wanna say to you, Cam." The girl turned, face flushed the same shade as Roy's.

"Y-yes?"

"I..." he said weakly. Then, with a voice filled with insecurity and courage, he blurted, "I LIKE YOU, CAMMY!" Cammy smiled.

"Oh, was that all? I like you too, Roy," she chirped, making the boy's heart flutter. "I wanna be friends forever!" With that she skipped off, leaving a very confused Roy and a very amused Gordon.

Cammy, you're so innocent, the priest though, smiling at his cute daughter. But someday you'll finally take Roy seriously, and you won't be my little girl anymore. I'll just have to enjoy it while it lasts.
