Kairi sat on the steps thinking.
Sora came up. "What are you thinking about?" he asked, sitting down next to her.
"Riku," she replied, looking at the ocean.
"Oh," he said, and turned to gaze at a palm tree. It had three coconuts. Suddenly, one fell down with a thud and broke into three pieces, the milk being absorbed quickly into the sand.
The next day Kairi was gone on the raft. Sora sat on the steps thinking. He turned to gaze at the palm tree. There was only one coconut remaining, and he pondered the disappearance of the second coconut. Suddenly, Sora felt a pang of hunger. He knocked down the last coconut, split it open with his keyblade, and devoured the smooth flesh and milky juice.
Later after Sora left, Tidus and Selphie came to play. They were about to climb up their favorite palm tree to fetch a coconut to eat, but discovered none remaining. Disappointed, they went to Sora's house to get him to play with them instead. They were confused when Sora didn't answer the doorbell.
