Hinata followed Naruto all morning, hiding behind buildings and plants. Naruto had been walking through the village, greeting people, while Hinata stalked him. Naruto a stomach grumbled. "Better eat something," he whispered to himself. The thought of ramen seemed to please him. He whirled around to go to Ichiraku's and spotted Hinata hiding behind a tree. "Hinata!" The bubbling Naruto waved at the girl. Naruto-kun... He saw me... Hinata turned a deep crimson.
"Hey Hinata!" Naruto called again. The boy ran towards her. Hinata gasped. Oh no, he's going to see me blushing. She turned the other way and ran. "Hinata? Where are you going?" Naruto chased after Hinata. "Wait up!" Hinata took a quick glance behind her and found Naruto hot on her heels. Hinata couldn't help but laugh softly. Naruto powered his legs to run faster. He stretched out his hand, and tried to grab hold of the running girl. But she ran faster and the gap between them grew bigger. Naruto smiled determinedly. "Oh no you don't..." Naruto put his hands together. "Shadow clone Justu!" A cloud of smoke formed and one clone appeared. Now both of them were chasing her.
One turned the corner and took a different path. Hinata looked back and saw only one Naruto. She turned forward again and saw another Naruto was standing in front of her. She gasped and tried to slow down, but it was too late. She crashed into him and they both fell. Hinata shook her head and looked to the Naruto lying on the ground, rubbing his head. Oh no, I hurt Naruto-kun... She crawled to him. "I'm sorry Naruto-kun!" Hinata put out her hand to touch Naruto's head, but a cloud of smoke formed and he disappeared before she could touch him. Hinata's eyes widened. A shadow clone!? She could hear footsteps behind her. Suddenly she felt arms wrap around her waist from behind. "I've got you!" Naruto yelled. Hinata started blushing furiously. She turned her head slightly, and saw Naruto's smiling face. Naruto-kun...is hugging me...
"You can't escape me!" He hugged tighter and whispered in Hinata's ear. "You can't escape my love..."
