It was the weekend and Kurt was at his optometrist with Blaine. Kurt knew he had trouble seeing. It wasn't a problem usually. Kurt would just take the front seats during class and all of the roads he memorized when driving to help avoid his optometrist. Although recently it seems that his vision was getting worse. God, he made a fool of himself when practicing dance numbers for their next performance. Kurt accidentally ran into Rachel when he was trying to focus on what the directions for the dance were which ended up having both of them fall off the stage. Neither of them had any injuries, and none of Kurt's friends questioned his mistake because everyone messed up when Finn tripped over a some wires that were misplaced.
Another moment where Kurt considered getting his check up was when he was driving home from school. He didn't really notice the rabbit until the last second. His car and the rabbit got out okay, but the tree in the park didn't. Finn oddly enough didn't question his step-brother when Kurt let him drive them around after that.
Kurt didn't actually choose to go get his vision checked until the night Blaine slept over.
Kurt and Blaine were watching Chicago in his room. He was in Blaine's arms and Blaine began was playing with his hair. Blaine suddenly leaned forward with a dreamy expression in his eyes and Kurt began to follow, but when he tried to grab for Blaine's hair, he accidentally spilled soda on Blaine's shirt. Kurt didn't really know what to say about spilling soda on your boyfriend when he was making a move. He tried to pass it off and pretend that he didn't know Blaine was going to kiss him and that he was really just thirsty at the time. Blaine didn't believe him.
Needless to say Kurt decided he was tired of making a fool of himself.
"It won't be that bad ." Blaine said trying to make him feel better. It wasn't helping. Oh god, what if he ended up having to get ugly glasses? Kurt was a hundred percent sure he needed glasses. What was he going do? What if Blaine didn't find him attractive anymore? What if for some spontaneous reason he got tanned and he had tan lines from his glasses? Oh god, now he might never be able to take off his glasses without traces of uneven skin.
"Kurt everything is going to be fine." Blaine reassured him massaging his shoulders gently. His boyfriend's hands on his back actually felt really nice. "That feels really good Blaine."
"Oh does it now ?" the other boy asked grinning mischievously. "Then I guess we'll have to try this at home."
"Mhm." Kurt sighed contently feeling Blaine's hands pressing against his back.
"You're so hot Kurt." Blaine said after seeing his boyfriend's expression.
"Really ?" Kurt teased.
"Yes, really." Blaine replied before kissing Kurt's neck.
"Would I still be if I had to get worse glasses than Steve Urkel's?" Blaine was so handsome. What if he ended not wanting to be with him anymore if he looked ugly?
"Well, when you put it that way... " Blaine teased and Kurt gave him a shove.
"Definitely. You would make such a hot nerd." Blaine whispered in his ear. Kurt smiled and let his head against Blaine's shoulders. Perhaps everything would be alright.
"Besides you can always get contacts."
