Hey, guys! This is gonna' be another chappie fic, but don't worry, I'll update the others. This is mainly about a fascinating discovery of Kagome's, that greatly affects the relationship between Kagome and Inuyasha. Here we go!

Kagome Higurashi. Bored. She wasn't supposed to go back to the feudal era until sundown today, and she had nothing to do. So she decided to check out the Higurashi attic.
Once in the attic, Kagome worked slowly around the dusty volumes in boxes. She made her way to a large trunk she found at the end opposite the door.
It was full of large books, many of which seemed to be almost a thousand years old. Some of them were bloodstained or torn. She picked up the incredibly dirty and decaying volume from the top, dusted it off carefully, and opened it.
Kagome flipped through the first few blank pages, and then spotted some writing at the top of the page she was on. It looked surprisingly like her own writing. Curiosity overtook her, and she read the first sentence.
Today is my first day as the mate of my favorite half-demon.
This greatly surprised Kagome. This person was a half-demon's mate? How... strange. Kagome blushed slightly at the thought of Inuyasha. She read on.
My mate is so happy that I chose him! He is ecstatic that I chose him over other people courting me, such as the wolf demon Koga.
'Koga!' Kagome thought. 'She knows Koga?' Kagome read on frantically with curiosity burning through her decency about not reading other people's personal things.
Perhaps I should mention the names of myself and my mate. He is Inuyasha, and my name is Kagome Higurashi.
Kagome broke off abruptly at seeing her name. Her name, and Inuyasha's, reffered to by herself as... mates?! She continued with eagerness.
Inuyasha and I are having a baby in nine months, and I still don't know how to tell mama. She'll be furious! I mean, I don't even belong in the feudal era. I belong in Tokyo, in 1997, years after this. I'm only writing this diary because I remember reading it. This diary, being read by me in Tokyo, 1997, is what triggered the lovely relationship Inuyasha and I have. In fact, I read this diary just three days ago, when I was going to leave for the feudal era. I have to go home now and explain this to my mother, though it's much more fascinating to explain the events of three days ago.
Kagome closed the diary, and then picked it up, running downstairs to her mother.
"Mom!" she yelled urgently, holding up the diary. "Whose diary is it?"
Her mother looked up nonchalantly. "Why, that diary belonged to the ancestor we named you after, Kagome."
Kagome's head was spinning. That made her her own ancestor! This was madness, but she couldn't deny that it was starting to make sense. She headed off towards the well, to see Inuyasha, as the diary was CLEARLY telling her she must do.
