A/N- Author's Note
Hey people! This is my first fanfic and I'm not too sure how well I did, so any criticisms are welcome. For now, this is a sort of 'teaser' chapter. I have a rough plan of how this story will go, but I have other fanfics that I would like to write as well. I'm currently working on a One Piece fanfic. So if you guys think I should or should not continue writing this please leave a review. Anyways, thanks for listening! Enjoy!
Pairing Rito x Yui
T for this chapter. M rating for possible future chapters. NO LEMONS, but some stuff better left alone by little kids.
Rito's eyes slowly opened as the morning sun shined its rays across his face. As his eyes adjusted, he got a bearing of his surroundings. He was lying in his bed with the sheets pulled up to his chin. Looking around his room he noticed the pile of dirty clothes near his bed. I'm gonna have to take those downstairs so that Mikan can wash them. Man, she really is amazing. Without her doing the cooking and cleaning I don't know what would happen to me. I should get her something as a sort of 'thank you'. Glancing around his room once again he noticed a strange pressure on his chest. Now that he thought about, the covers did look strangely lumpy and large. All the blood in his body rushed to his head when to his surprise (even though he should be used to it by now) he saw the naked form of Lala cuddling against his chest.
"LALA! What are you doing! I thought I told you not to sneak into my bed again!" Rito yelled, falling out of his bed shielding his eyes with his hands for fear of loss of blood (nosebleed). "And put some clothes on!"
"Aww, but Rito, I wanted to be with you." She said with a slight pout on her face, giving Rito the ol' puppy eyes. Sitting up the sheets fell off her shoulders giving Rito an even worse (or nicer for the more perverted people) view of her ample chest.
"Please! Put on some clothes!" Rito begged, standing up and reaching for the door. However, as we all know, his bad (or good) luck struck again and he slipped on a corner of his sheets that fell on the floor. The sheets slid further off the bed pulling Lala back down onto the mattress with her back hitting the soft surface with Rito falling on top, face pressed into the crook of her neck, right hand groping her breast and knee falling onto her tail leading her to let out a loud moan.
Mikan, hearing the commotion going in the room rushed upstairs and opened the door. "Hey! What's going on… in… here? I'm sorry for interrupting." She said before quickly shutting the door.
"No! It's a misunderstanding!" Rito yelled, scrambling off of Lala. "Please put on some clothes!" he said before throwing on some clothes and running downstairs. Lala continued to lie there in a daze. Rito… did I do something wrong?
Geez that Lala… ever since I told her I love her she's been sneaking into my bed every night. If this keeps up people will start to think I'm even more of a pervert, even though all the things that have happened to me were accidents. Walking into the kitchen he noticed Mikan had finished breakfast.
"Oh, Rito. Done so soon? You sure are quick." Mikan teased her brother.
"Shut up! It was a misunderstanding!" he yelled, his face getting redder by the second.
"Whatever. Hey, why don't you go and get everybody, breakfast is done."
"Hai." Rito started back upstairs, quickly passing by his room because he didn't want to deal with Lala. He walked to the end of the hall and rode the elevator up to the Devilukian sisters' 'house' that they made by using a space distortion machine.
"Hey Nana! Momo! Breakfast is ready." He called out before turning around to head to the elevator. Suddenly he was jumped from behind and knocked to the floor. As he fell he twisted around and wound up on his back with his attacker's panties in his face. It was at this exact same moment that Nana walked in and found them in that compromising position.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MOMO YOU BEAST!" she screamed before kicking him across the room.
"It's a misunderstanding…" Rito mumbled, although he already knew there was no dealing with Nana. Momo walked over, picked him up and helped him over to the trio walked downstairs and found both Mikan and Lala, now with Peke in school uniform mode, at the table. After the 5 of them ate, they all packed their school things and headed out.
The walk to school was long and awkward. Both of them were silent, with Rito having the added bonus of a red hue on his face from remembering what happened that morning. Lala was unusually gloomy, her usual smile replaced with a worried look. When they were almost halfway to the school, Lala finally spoke up.
"R-Rito. Do you hate me?" She asked in a quiet voice, her head lowered so her eyes were staring at the ground. Rito suddenly stopped, the red hue disappearing from his face. He walked up to Lala and gently raised her head.
"Lala, look at me." He said in a suddenly serious manner. "I may get annoyed with you when you cause me trouble, but I never hated or will ever hate you, okay? I love you, and that's not going to change."
Lala looked up at Rito and saw his sincerity. She suddenly threw her arms around him and pulled him into a hug, tears of joy running down her face.
"Thank you, Rito." She said quietly. Rito then returned to his regular embarrassed state when he realized what they looked like to the people around them, a crying girl desperately hugging her 'boyfriend'.
"Umm, Lala. You can let go now." He said nervously, not wanting to upset Lala again, but still wanting to get out of their current situation. She let go of him and they continued walking.
"Hey Rito, can we hold hands until we get to school? Please?" Lala asked her usual smile returning, yet Rito could still see the worry buried deep in her eyes. Deciding she had been through enough today already he allowed her to hold his hand as they headed off to school.
As they headed inside, still holding hands, Rito felt hundreds of angry glares from the boys in the school as the two passed by. Feeling his well-being was in danger he quickened his pace until they made it to their classroom. As soon as they entered all eyes were focused on them. Rito, already getting red in the face tried to let go of Lala's hand but found he couldn't. Looking down he saw Lala's hand still tightly gripping his.
"Hey Lala, you can let go now. We're at school." Mumbled Rito.
"Okay, thanks for the walk to school!" Lala happily chirped, giving Rito a huge hug causing his face to go even redder, before she skipped away to her desk. Rito walked over to his desk and slumped down onto it.
Hearing footsteps approaching him he looked up and saw Haruna looking nervously at him.
"Sairenji! Umm, d-d-did you need something?" he asked nervously, his face once again becoming red.
"Umm… s-s-s-so are you and… and Lala-chan… together?" she asked, mumbling the last word.
"N-NO! I mean… no. Lala was feeling down so I said she could hold my hand on the way to school." He quickly explained.
"Oh. Oh, okay then. Hey, umm. I was wondering…" Haruna started to say when Rito spotted Kotegawa Yui on the other side of the room.
"Umm, I'm so so sorry Sairenji, but I need to talk to Kotegawa-san. Can we continue this talk later? Please?" Rito interrupted her, feeling torn between wanting to continue talking to Haruna and needing to talk to Kotegawa.
"Umm… sure." She said, walking away her head slightly lowered.
Rito ran across the room and stopped in front of Yui. He was about to start talking when he noticed people listening in. Suddenly grabbing her hand, he dashed into the closet, locking the door behind him.
"Yuuki Rito! How shameless! Do you intend on doing ecchi things in here to me?" Yui started scolding him before he quickly shushed her.
"I needed to talk to you without anyone listening. I'm sorry about grabbing your hand and dragging you in here and you can scold me later but first, please listen to what I have to say." He quickly responded.
"Al-alright. Make it quick." She said, suddenly noticing how close they were to each other in the small closet.
"Well, as you know, my parents are rarely home, so it's just me and my sister Mikan, well before Lala and her sisters showed up." He started saying.
"Yeah… go on." She responded, suddenly nervous of what he wanted to talk to her about. Her heart started beating faster and a blush covered her face as she looked at Rito. It's a good thing he can't see me blushing in the dark. WAIT! Why am I blushing, he's a shameless womanizer! Why, why do I lo- I DO NOT LOVE HIM! Her thoughts continued to go on like this as she continued to listen to Rito.
"Well, Mikan takes care of all the cooking and cleaning, and I don't know what would happen to me if I was on my own. So, I wanted to get her something nice, some sort of present to show how grateful I am to have her taking care of me. Obviously I needed to ask a girl for this sort of thing, and of all the girls I know you're the only one who would know how to help me find the prefect present and not let slip this to Mikan. I wanted the present to be a surprise. Well, will you help me?" He asked, trying to catch his breath. He looked at Yui.
She thought about it for a few moments before saying, "Sure, I would love to help you. Stay after school and help me with chore duty. Then we'll go and find your 'perfect present', okay."
"Thank you so much!" He replied, suddenly giving her a hug. Yui blushed furiously, becoming flustered and unresponsive. Rito let go after a couple of seconds then walked out of the closet, Yui following closely behind. Realizing the entire class was watching he lowered his now completely red face and rushed over to his desk.
Yui followed his example and rushed to her own desk. A couple minutes later, class started, and everything returned to normal.
After class ended everybody started packing up.
"Hey Rito! Let's walk home together!" Lala said cheerfully, running up to him.
"Sorry, Lala. Kotegawa-san said I have to stay and help with her school chores for dragging her into the closet this morning." He replied.
"Oh, okay. See you at home!" she said before skipping off with her sisters.
"Hey, hey. You're a lucky bastard getting to live with Lala-chan, you know that." Rito's friend Saruyama said, walking up to him. "So, what did you and Kotegawa-san do in the closet, eh?" He started questioning Rito.
"N-nothing. You should hurry up and go before she writes you up for being in school after hours." Rito said, pushing Saruyama out the door.
"Alright, alright. I'll leave you two alone." He said, giving Rito a sly wink before high-tailing it out of there.
Rito and Yui spent the next hour and a half doing the chores, i.e. putting away books, sweeping, wiping the chalkboard, etc. Once they were done at 4:30, they headed out together, walking to the shopping district.
So? What did you guys think? I know it doesn't have 'the troubles' starting yet, but this chapter is more a setup chapter for the following chapters.
