Chapter 1: The New Roommate

Nymphadora Tonks woke up to the bright sun streaming on her face. After tripping on the obstacle course, which was her bedroom floor, she somehow trudged downstairs.

She was greeted by someone she knew, but however did not expect. In fact, he scared her senseless. Bill Weasley was sitting at her kitchen table, eating toast with jelly, with his feet on the table.

"Bill! What the hell are you doing here?" she shrieked.

"Oh, hi Tonks. I just came here to eat breakfast. Did you know that you're out of milk?"

"I forgot to buy some." She answered. "But that isn't the point. I want to know WHY you're in my kitchen. How did you get in here?"

"I'll answer your first question in a few minutes." He answered. "And I had a key."

Tonks did not want to know he got a key to her flat.

"Okay, now answer my question." She said.

"Well, I actually wanted to ask you something. My parents and I had a fight about something I'm not mentioning, but they kicked me out. So can I crash here for a bit?"

Tonks was speechless. But at last she put together a word.

"No!" She said.

"Please?" Bill asked.

"No!"

"Please?"

"NO!"

"PLEASE?"

"Okay, you can stay." She sighed.

"Thank you!"

"But I'm going to lay some ground rules." She said. "Number one, stay out of my room. Number two, clean up after yourself. Number three, if you eat up all the food, you buy some more. Got it?"

"Yes ma'am!" Bill replied.

"Good. You can sleep on the couch. I'm going to get to get dressed."

After managing to trip her way downstairs, Tonks realized she was quite hungry. She settled on toast and jam, but could only find the jam.

"Bill, did you eat all the toast?" she asked.

"Yeah." He replied sheepishly.

"Then buy some more. I'll have to eat at work then. Try and keep it clean around here."

"That isn't too hard, it's already a mess," he mumbled.

"What was that?"

"Have a nice day." He said.
