Title: The haze by
Year-of-the-Dragon
Series/disclaimer: I don't own fruits basket
but the poem is mine
Rating PG at best
Pairing:
Hatori/Momiji
A/N: It him thinking on Hatori and his coldness. It
is similar in style to "deadend" I guess.
Well this is a little
dip into poetry. I know the spacing and sentencing is weird I want it
like random thoughts not truly connected. Sorry for mistakes.
The night comes
sweeping in as,
the light streams through my window.
It is a
haze yellow of the dusk,
with the light smell of musk,
Hanging
in the air.
A lingering smell hangs in the house,
it is like
the haze of yellow.
It clings to the walls, the ceiling,
To me,
to you.
Other smells
clings,
cling like your cologne to your shirt
after of a long
day.
Along with cigarettes
and expensive whiskey on your
breath.
Words cling too, quiet ones.
Quiet words fall from your
lips
bidding me goodnight, good morning,
But neither of us
care.
Time flies but there is always time
to let little quiet
meaningless words fall
but I guess that is all you or I have.
The day sinks
further, and so do I,
The water surrounds me and tries to warm my
core.
Yet the water is can never reach.
I know your core is
just as cold and untouchable.
Will yours ever be warmed by words
or water.
The haze hovers over the water too.
Oh but a tension
hangs,
Of long fingers grazing skin and sweat,
but it is not
me in the bed.
It is a memory... fading
but we awake from
dreams and go back into our haze.
The fog that surrounds you that
spreads over both of us.
End: A random poem thing. I read The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and I made this in the style.
