So, I am back in the area of Fanfiction. Sorry for the pause. But here's a new project, a Stargate AU.

Prolog

Federal Republic of Germany, Island of Heligoland.
1957.

"Why am I here?" asked the Inspector of the Navy, the commander of the Germany Navy, as he followed another man deeper into a bunker complex.

"You'll see, Sir." the man answered, before stepping aside and allowing the Inspector to enter a large room. Inside it was a large metal ring, roughly 6 Meters in diameter. Symbols seemed to be carved into it, and seven red triangles were arranged in a ring around it.

"What is this?" the Inspector asked the man who brought him here. The man shrugged.

"We don't know. We've found just a few days ago, well, a few locals found it. They alerted the Police, who then alerted us. We found some documents, seems like it's been here since 1917. Was found on an expedition to Egypt in 1906, brought to Germany, and then stored somewhere. Looks like the Kaiser ordered it moved here, why we don't know. What we know is that Hitler saw it, and ordered it to stay here." Answered the man. "It's a wonder the Brits didn't find it when they tried to destroy the Island."

"Indeed it is." said the Inspector quietly. "What shall we do with it?"

"That's the reason why I asked you here Sir. I don't have any idea. Same for everyone else." said the man. "But I think we should leave it here. Some of the men said there were some vibrations coming from that thing."

"Vibrations?" asked the Inspector, his eyebrows raised.

"Yes. Yesterday morning, and today morning too. The men couldn't explain it." said the man.

"We'll leave it here, until I've spoken to Inspector General Heusinger. He'll have to decide, and if he wants to he can speak to the Defence Minister and the Chancellor." said the Inspector. "Until then, this remains secret. No one comes here without my authorization."

"Yes sir. I'll await your message regarding this." said the man, and saluted. "If you'll follow me, we have to get you to Bonn ASAP."

Federal Republic of Germany, City of Bonn, provisionally Capital of the BRD.
Palais Schaumburg, Seat of the Chancellor.
1957.

"And what do you recommend, Inspector General Heusinger?" asked the Chancellor. He was 81 already, and called 'the Old Guy' by some, but he was still an active Politician.

"The same as Inspector Ruge. Leave it there, maybe study it. I don't think we should give it to the Americans. Why should we? If it is a weapon, they'll use it for sure. Maybe it'll be more dangerous than their Nukes, we can't let something like that happen. Keep it a secret, and study it." answered the Inspector General.

"If you say so... Inspector General, this is now a matter that requires the highest secrecy. I want regular reports regarding the Object's behaviour. Understood?" said the Chancellor.

"Of course, I'll speak to Inspector Ruge. He'll surely be able to deligate some people away from the effort to build up the Navy. Maybe the Inspectors Kammhuber and Röttiger will able to supply men too." said Inspector General Heusinger.

"Then I'll let you do that. You're allowed to leave, Inspector General." said the Chancellor, and the Highest Military Official of the German Armed Forces left the room.

Federal Republic of Germany, Island of Heligoland.
Top Secret Bunker Complex
Deät Lun (Heligoland Frisian for 'The Land', local name for the Island).
1995.

"We have something Sir." said a technician, as he walked into then Office of the Base Commander.

Konteradmiral (Rear Admiral) Andreas Berger looked up from his seat at his desk. Nothing much happened here, to be honest. And since the end of the Cold War not much research was being done on the Object. The continued existence of the base was a mystery to him, as sooner or later the Bundestag would cut their funding.

He followed the technician, to the Command Center. Since 1957, the bunker complex had been expanded. Instead of being a Coastal Fortress it was during the Imperial and Nazi times, to becoming a state of the art bunker complex in the middle of the German Bight. Of course, the construction of the complex was a bit slowed down by the absence of a Airport on the Island.

The Command Center was a large room, filled with computer monitors and technicians. Soldiers were guarding the entrances, holding their G3 Rifles.

"What do you have for me?" asked Andreas the man who had led him here.

"We have an answer for the coverstone symbols. They aren't hieroglyphs, but star constellations. And all of the symbols are on the object. With your authorization, we'd be ready to start replicating the 1959 occurrence." said the technician.

"How did you get the answer?" asked Andreas. "As far as I know, no one of the experts we employed managed to discover what they were."

"We send letters to various Universities, asking for answers. And one of them answered. The University of Chicago, in fact. One 'Doctor Daniel Jackson' managed to discover that the symbols are star constellations." answered the technician.

"I hope you didn't make it look like official letters from the Bundeswehr. If you did, you can begin looking for a list of prisons you'd like to be in." said Andreas, glaring at the now nervously gulping technician.

"Of course Sir, it wasn't a official letter. We did it privately." said the technician.

"Good. Then, I'll talk to the Inspector General about our course of action." said Andreas, intend on getting to Bonn as fast as possible.

Defence Ministry.
1995.

"You're sure?" asked Inspector General Naumann. He was sitting at his desk in the Defence Ministry.

"Yes Sir. We have possibility to recreate the 1959 occurrence. With your permission, I'd like to try doing so." said Andreas. He was standing in front of the desk, wearing his dark blue dress uniform.

The Inspector General nodded, and looked up at Andreas. "I speak to the Defence Minister, and recommend the transfer of a few Fernspähertrupps to Deät Lun. They should be enough for a mission through the object."

Andreas sighed in relief. The Fernspäher were a Highly Specialized Reconnaissance Unit, normally operating in four men teams.

"Thank you Sir. I will return to the base, and await further messages from you." said Andreas, saluted, and left the room.

Now he needed a Helicopter back to Heligoland.

That's it, please review. I like constructive criticism.
