1A New Friend
"Hey Ricky!" Grace greeted cheerfully.
"Hey Grace, what's up?"
"Well, I was thinking that tonight you could come over to my house, and I could show you that passage in the bible I've been telling you about."
I pondered my thoughts about Grace for a moment. So beautiful, Loyal, and friendly, unlike Adrian. She was always to demanding and aggressive. I liked Grace. She was so sweet and innocent.
"That sounds great, but what would your parents think of your idea Grace." I questioned.
"Well tonight they are going to a meeting at my church, and shouldn't be home until nine."
"I don't know Grace. I want your parents to trust me. This could ruin everything."
"Oh, Ricky. I love how nice you are, but I promise, they'll never suspect a thing."
I smiled at Grace's adorable face.
"Ok, I'll be there at seven?"
"Perfect!" Grace replied with joy.
She gave me a quick hug and headed for her next class. I was so glad Grace liked me. She was the perfect girl for me. While heading to my next class in excitement about our little get together, I ran into Adrian. Super.
"Ricky...How are you? You look good. How about you come over my place tonight, and we can talk about our break-up." Adrian insisted.
"I don't think so Adrian. I got my own plans tonight. With Grace."
"What! Why would you want plans with that child!?"
"She's not a child Adrian. She my friend, and you and me are done forever."
Adrian quickly turned around, and marched off in a huff. I smiled. I was very proud of myself. I stood up for myself, and the one I liked very much.
