After the Friday night halftime show that unseasonably warm early October afternoon, I went out to J&S Pizza with my friend, Carly Shay and her parents, Sam and Freddie. "I think you did great choreographing that routine, Carly," I complimented. "I don't care what Alex and Justin say!" "They were just a little bit jealous," Carly reminded me. "Hey wait a minute, is that our drum majors, Sarah and James and their friend, Henri at that table over there?" I asked. "Alex and Justin were also jealous of Sarah and James too, huh?" "Uh-huh," Carly replied. We then went to go sit with Sarah, James, and Henri. "Hi, guys!" I greeted my other friends. "Hi!" James replied. "That speech you gave with Mr. Beresik today was amazing, Angel," Sarah then told me. "Well, thank you, Sarah," I remarked. "I just wanted to let everybody know that everyone, whether it be the senior class, or the marching band, in general, is created just the same. Henri, you're not a leader or anything, are you?" "Nope," Henri replied. "I'm not." "See, he and Max are just happy being buddies in the French horn section!" "Come to think of it, I'm not a leader, either," I then admitted to my parents. "I just don't have the skills and ability to be a leader, and I'm not jealous of anyone." "That's right, Angel," Carly then told me. "Alex and Justin were just being brats to all you guys, weren't they?" "I wouldn't exactly say they were brats, Angel," Sarah told me. "But, they did learn a little bit of a lesson from your speech," James pointed out. "Not only that, but your idea for the halftime show this year was incredible!" "Wait, you guys like Maroon 5, too?" "Of course." "Carly, I think our pizza's here!" Mrs. Shay then said. "Yeah, it was nice seeing all you guys," Mr. Benson then remarked. "We better get going, huh guys?" James asked. "Our food will be here soon, too." I then waved good-bye to my friends, and then our pizza came, and we were ready to eat it.
