"What are you doing?"

Gendry jumped out of his seat in surprise. She was always a sneaky one, this little wolf girl of his. It was annoying, if he thought about it. But today, he was a nervous wreck that "annoyed" wasn't really the best way to describe what he was feeling right now.

More like, nervous as hell.

"Come on, Waters. What are you hiding?"

He tucked the small package in his back pocket with haste before waving his hands around. "Nothing. I'm not hiding anything."

Arya's eyes narrowed in suspicion. With a raised brow, she folded her arms over her chest and said, "You know, you're a really bad liar."

"I am not!"

"You do know that you blink twice as often as you normally do and your ears turn red when you lie."

Gendry's hands unconsciously moved to touch his ears before he quickly put them back down. "You're such a sneaky little girl."

"I am not!"

"Then stop sneaking around people's backs! You keep giving me semi-heart attacks!"

"So you are hiding something?"

Gendry rolled his eyes. "Get off my back, Stark."

"Aha!" she exclaimed with a grin on her face. "So I am right, as always."

He slowly walked towards her and cupped her face in his hands. Leaning closer, he kissed the tip of her nose. "Just stop asking about it and wait until you get your surprise."

Her grey eyes stared up into his blues and she sighed. Taking that as a sign of resignation, Gendry leaned down and placed his mouth over hers in a slow, sweet kiss. On instinct, her arms snaked around his neck and played with his hair, clutching it as the kiss turned hot and carnal. Her mouth opened to let his tongue in, exploring the insides of her mouth and danced with her equally talented tongue.

Before he knew it, he was staring at her in a daze after she pulled back from the kiss. She was grinning from ear to ear, and Gendry was a little confused with the change in her expression.

"What's wrong?" he asked, gripping her waist tighter to pull her body closer to his.

Arya shook her head and said, "Nothing. Nothing's wrong. I guess everything's turning out right from this day forward."

As if the words jolted him out of his stupor, his hands when to his back pocket and found it gone. When he recovered from his slight panic, she threw her head back in laughter and said, "Well? Aren't you going to kneel? Because that's what you're supposed to do, right?"

He watched as her face turned from humorous to nervous, and it suddenly dawned on Gendry that she discovered what he was hiding.

"You sneaky little—"

Before he could say anything else, she held up the small blue velvet box that she must have taken while they were kissing. He was partly embarrassed, partly nervous and partly annoyed, but it was Arya and only she could get him to feel all these emotions at the same time.

Without another thought, he snatched the box back and watched her face as he went down on one knee and held the box up for her to see.

"Arya Stark, heiress of Winterfell, youngest Stark daughter, annoying little sister, professional eye-roller, sneaky little shit, worst cook ever, fiery little wolf girl…my wolf girl…I am yours as you are mine…take this ring and bind yourself to me. I will make you happy for the rest of your goddamn life."

She smacked his arm amidst the tears running down her face. "What the hell kind of proposal was that?"

Gendry grinned from ear to ear. "The best one you'll ever get." He took the ring out of the box and held it up. "Arya Stark…will you marry me?"
