Jinpei sat silently by Joe's bedside. I guess you do, big brother. He still couldn't believe Galactor would kill a kid's parents right in front of him, no wonder Joe hated them...they all hated Galactor, but Joe's hatred burned brighter than all of theirs combined, it seemed.
That's why he'd saved the puppy, he'd seen himself in those sad eyes.
Joe's eyes blinked open just then, and he glanced to the side.
"Hey..." He smiled weakly. "What're you doing here? Dr. Nambu said I was gonna be just fine, you should go home and sleep."
"I know..." Jinpei smiled a little and hugged Joe. "But I couldn't sleep until you woke up, big brother."
"Jinpei..." The Condor hugged him back lightly and patted his head. "Come on, little guy, don't be such a sap. Now go home, I bet Jun's worried about you," he said.
