Yet another new fic! :D I hope you enjoy!
I am almost there. I can do it. It is just there. I can see it.
Long ringlets flying in the air, I ran as fast as my small legs could carry me. My clothes were soaked. The sky was black; lightning flashed in the distance and thunder crashed. There it was: NCIS. Naval Criminal Investigative Service. The tall building loomed over me ominously. It seemed evil, considering the atmosphere. I stopped right in front of the building, shivering with cold and shaking with fear. This was where my aba told me to go if he and ima were in trouble. He said it was safe here, although that was the last thing it looked. It looked dangerous.
I spun around, hearing footsteps. No one was there. Maybe I was imagining things…No. No. Not after everything that had happened in the last week. I could not let my guard down. I started running towards the entrance. There was a security guard standing there, eating a jelly donut. I stared at the donut. I had not eaten in two days. I was starving, dirty, scared, alone. I brushed those thoughts away. Only a short while longer, and I would be safe. I walked slowly up to him. He stared strangely at me.
"Can I help you…?" he asked. I barely understood his English; my English was not strong. I stood there, slowly translating it mentally to Hebrew.
"I am…looking for…Ziva David." I said it slowly; my pronunciation was not very good either.
"Come with me," he gave me a smile and I grinned shyly. He held out his hand, which I took as he brought me to the elevator. Ding. The elevator doors opened. He brought me inside and pressed a button. Then he stepped out. Confused, I stared at him. Then, I understand. I am going alone. This is the furthest he can bring me. He has a job he needs to do. Then I force myself to rearrange my features into a smile.
"Toda." And then the doors closed, leaving me alone in a small space. I could feel the droplets of rain drip down my body, pooling around my feet. I could feel the chill in my bones. I was freezing. I wrapped my arms around myself. Ding. The elevator doors opened yet again. I stepped out and found myself in a warm, huge place. People sat at desks, typing away at computers. People walked about busily, taking no notice of the little girl. There was a blonde woman in front of me, talking to another guy. Taking no notice of me. I shifted my gaze. A beautiful brunette was holding a man in a headlock, a knife at his neck. I walked up to their office, wanting to watch. He was red in the face, trying and failing to get out of it, but the other, slightly chubbier man was laughing.
"Are you going to apologize, Tony?" she hissed.
"No! Never!" he wheezed. Then a silver haired man walked past me.
"Don't kill DiNozzo. I don't want you sent to jail. Gear up, got a dead body in Quantico."
"Ha! Did you hear the boss man?" the sandy-haired man-Tony, screeched.
"Yes. Do not kill you, but you will suffer. I am driving." I barely understood what they were saying but I listened attentively.
"Oh God. Let go, then. Make me suffer then. That won't kill me, it will almost kill me but if you continue this headlock, I most certainly will die. Ziva, let go. Ziva!"
I stare at the woman. Ziva? I watched her release him and I walked up to her as she went towards her desk. She holstered her gun and I stiffened. Then she seemed to sense the presence of a little girl.
"Z...Ziva David?" I asked timidly. She stared at me.
"Yes?" she smiled kindly.
"I need your help."
As I always say, please review!
