Eh, nothing fluffy here. Yes, most Colloyds tend to be fluffy and cute, this one... not so much. Eh.
Disclaimer: I claim "Dis". No, really. Like disclaimers mean anything. No one's gonna sue. Even if there would be suing on the table, a petty disclaimer wouldn't stop it.
"It's really simple. All we do is enter the inn, go to the second floor, enter the second room, kill that traitor of a Chosen, take her Cruxis Crystal, and leave." One of two men in white, bird like masks, whispered to his partner.
"Yeah. Sure seems like this is too easy. I mean, isn't she the leader of the Church of Martel or something like that?" the other one said.
"That doesn't matter. We've got to do this for Lady Alice." The first then said, as he pulled out his katar and took a step towards the inn.
"What did you say you were going to do to the Chosen?" a voice called out from behind both men.
"Huh!? Who are you..?" the first man said as he turned around to see a man standing there, holding a sword, his face slightly obscured by a white mask that slightly resembled a dragon's head.
"I have no need to tell those who are attempting to murder the one who I…" the masked man said, raising his sword, which flashed as it reflected the moonlight.
"If you're attempting to interfere in the affairs of the Vanguard, you'll receive no mercy, no matter who you are!" the second Vanguard soldier said, as he rushed towards the masked man.
"Demon Fang." The masked man said, as he cut through the air with sword, the force of the swing causing a shockwave that sent the attacking soldier flying towards a nearby tree, which he impacted with incredible force, killed almost instantly.
"Hey! Our objective is just the Chosen, not you!" The remaining Vanguard soldier said, backing away from the man with the white mask.
"If you're intent on killing her, then you are my enemy. I made a promise to her that I intend on keeping." The masked man said, as he drew another sword.
"Ah! You're--!" The Vanguard soldier stammered out, his eyes widened from fear.
"I'm just the guardian of the Chosen. That's all. You wanted to kill her. I won't let you do that. Rising Phoenix!" the masked man said, as he shot into the air, striking both the soldier and the tree while ablaze. The impact with the tree made a sound like a thunderclap, and the tree began to break. The masked man moved out of the way and then the tree, burning, fell behind him, crushing the bodies of the two assassins. The man sheathed both of his swords, and walked away from the inn, and under his breath he said, "Colette… I'm sorry I can't be with you right now. But I will always protect you. I promise, because… I love you."
Ah, yes. The masked man, that was Lloyd. Oh, about his mask, it was Lezareno Company's "Judas Mask", which obviously is Judas's mask. It's better than all 4 of Lloyd's actual masks...
