Waverly had woken up in peoples' arms before. In fact, when she was dating Champ, he insisted on staying over almost every night. She hadn't, however, woken up in Officer Haught's arms before. And that was a new experience, because Nicole was all soft curves and smooth skin. Waverly turned to lay her head on the redhead's chest, nudging her nose softly into the curve of Nicole's neck. The youngest Earp hummed softly; Nicole smelled good. She tugged the blankets more securely around her as her eyes fluttered shut again.

The next time she opened her eyes, Nicole wasn't under her. Waverly groaned and closed her eyes, wondering where he redhead was. Hearing the running water, Waverly grinned and burrowed back under the covers. The water stopped and the redhead walked out of the bathroom, wrapped in a towel. Waverly whistled and giggled quietly. Nicole turned and gasped.

"Jesus, Waves, you scared me. I thought you were still asleep." The officer laughed quietly and tugged on an old, worn t shirt, before sitting at the edge of the bed, learning over to kiss the brunette softly. "Morning." Waverly grinned and hummed, kissing her back gently.

"Mm. Last night." Waverly's voice was raspy with sleep, and she grinned up at the redhead. "That was something, Officer Haught."

"What can I say? I aim to please." The redhead murmured against soft lips, grinning.

"Mission accomplished." Waverly whispered as she sat up slowly. "Can't we just stay in bed for the entire day?"

"I mean, we definitely could do that, but I thought I gave you a pretty good workout last night." The redhead husked, laughing quietly as Waverly's stomach joined the conversation. The redhead sighed quietly, smiling softly.

"What?" Waverly frowned, furrowing her brow.

"You…look beautiful in the morning." Nicole murmured, blushing. "I love that you're in my bed and that you spent the night." Waverly grinned and leaned up to kiss her gently.

"Well maybe we should make that a more regular occurrence, then, Officer Haught." Waverly tugged the redhead down for another kiss, revelling in the languid feeling she had running through her body. For the first time in what seemed like her entire life, Waverly finally found herself in a relationship where she was happy.
