Todoroki Shouto wasn't normal. He couldn't be, after what he had been put through by his father. He was like a robot, emotionless, and focusing on one objective only, which was upsetting Endeavour in his case. At least that was what he'd alway thought. This was until he met Midoriya. He had taken one look at the pit of despair Todoroki was buried in, and sacrificed his spot in the Sports Festival to lift him out. He convince Todoroki to break his one rule, and use his fire. After that, he'd just been confused, and to out of it to do his best against Bakugou.
Surprisingly, Midoriya started hanging out with him after the sports festival. He'd even made Todoroki smile a few times. Then one day, Midoriya had been rewarded with a laugh.
Midoriya had made a pun. It was a really stupid one about ice being nice, but Todoroki had started laughing his head off like a maniac. He'd stopped suddenly, though. When was the last time he had snorted, let alone laughed? Midoriya had asked him what was wrong, and he responded with an apology for worrying him, and told him that he was surprised at his laughter, because he thought he no longer had it in him. The pure determination on his friends face after he heard that kind of scared Todoroki a little. Nonetheless, he found himself laughing constantly when he was in Midoriya's company after that.
