Tenchi's Trials
(The Events that followed after Tenchi in Tokyo)
1. Just Another Day
Another day, just one more day. When the new day arrives, I know there's not going to be any changes. It's always going to be a hectic day, but I guess that I have no choice whatever I do. When I prepare for the next day, even though everything goes wild, I believe that one way or another there will always be a way to get through it…
"Good morning Tenchi, did you have a nice sleep?" Washu said as I came down the stairs into the lobby area, which was where we always started the day.
"Yes thank you Washu," I said looking around.
It seemed to be quiet, but that was just the calm before the storm.
"Hey! Washu! What do you think you're doing. I always ask my Tenchi that every morning!" yelled Ryoko, her face appearing through the wall.
"Well sorry Ryoko but you didn't make it in time. Someone had to greet Tenchi." Washu explained.
"C'mon, I'm just getting dressed." Said Ryoko.
Aeka came marching into the house from the front door dripping wet with an angry frown, dragging Mihoshi across the ground.
"I…I'm sorry Aeka, I…I didn't mean to" sobbed Mihoshi, tears running down her face.
Mihoshi's sleeve then got caught in the floorboard and Aeka, when feeling the resistance, began to pull even harder.
"Ae..aeka, I'm stuck, it's…"
"Look Mihoshi, don't ever do that again. You nearly drowned me! If you think I'm going to have mercy on you, you're very wrong!" Aeka shouted.
"Aeka, come on now whatever she did, it can't have been that bad, can it? I mean you're still alive, right?" I told her.
Aeka looked up and saw me at the top of the stairs. Staring at me she dropped Mihoshi who landed with a slight bump and sprinted up the stairs saying "Oh, Tenchi! I didn't realise that you were here!"
Ryoko, who had just finished getting dressed, sensed what would happen from the tone of Aeka's voice so she teleported right in front of me and stuck her hand out. Aeka, running top speed, could not slow down and smacked straight into Ryoko's hand.
"Oof," she said as she smashed off Ryoko's hand and tumbled backwards down the stairs.
I got mad at Ryoko for doing this and said "Hey Ryoko! How could you do that! You…she might be dead!"
"Oh it's ok Tenchi. That old hag won't stand in the way of us."
Aeka jerked upright from the remark and shouted "Old hag?!"
I sighed with the relief that Aeka was ok but also with inevitable tiredness, because the scene was gradually piecing together all the parts to make a hectic day.
Kiyone ran into the house next and shouted "Hey Mihoshi! We have a new assignment! It will only take a week, we'll be back as soon as we finish it! Mihoshi! Are you listening to me? Oh and Washu? The galaxy police want you to come on this assignment."
"Me? What do they want me for?" asked a startled Washu.
"I don't know but it's urgent," Said Kiyone.
"Well I'm not going. I have to keep a close watch on the life sustainment system of Yuugi."
"Please Washu!" begged Kiyone.
"Nope. That's my final answer," Washu stated.
"Well HQ are not going to be happy about this. Mihoshi, what's wrong with you. Why are you crying?" asked Kiyone.
"Aeka was being really mean to me!"
"Yeah, well I'll be even MORE mean if you don't get a move on!" said Kiyone angrily.
The scene was set. Mihoshi crying her eyes out, Kiyone getting annoyed at Mihoshi, Washu refusing to go, Aeka and Ryoko in their constant arguments, but where were Sasami and Ryo-Ohki?
"Excuse me everyone, but where's Sasami?"
Everyone stopped dead, wondering where their food was going to be from if there was no Sasami.
