Where in hell had Montana learned Spanish?
Did they teach Spanish in Montana public schools? Did she study it in college along with criminal justice? Did she have a boyfriend that taught her?
Or had she picked it up just so she could converse in another language with the new Detective.
Tony Almeida, just the mention of his name made Danny want to hit something.
Detective Tony Almeida had been working for the US government for years, protecting the country from terrorists and all the women around here seemed to find that unbelievably attractive.
Unfortunately, the only woman that attracted his attention was Lindsay.
Danny's Lindsay who suddenly wasn't bothering to try to talk to him, or even return his calls. Lindsay who didn't even look up when Rikki came bursting into their office one day. Lindsay who seemed perfectly happy to whisper things in Spanish with that old man who constantly found an excuse to touch her.
And Danny knew he couldn't say a word about it. He'd lost the right to do that the moment he touched Rikki Sandoval.
He just had to pray that someday he'd get it back.
