Prompt: fail
"I fail at life," Rebecca said, slumping further down in the bed.
Since she has 101 fever and a stuffy nose it sounded more like, "I ailed at fife," but Justin wasn't about to tell her that.
"Bec, you'll make up the exam. They can't fail you for being sick."
"They already did. My professor doesn't care that I can't move or breathe. All he cares about is that my photography essay isn't in on time. He gave me an F on it and that means I'll barely pull a C in the class. A class I worked like a lunatic in for 15 weeks."
"We'll work it out, Bec, there's no way that they can fail you when you're sick like this. I'm going to call our doctor."
"What's he going to do? Pay me a home visit."
"Actually yes."
Rebecca's eyes widened and Justin chuckled, "You're a Walker now, Bec, and you should know that every once and a while being rich is very helpful.

It took 24 hours for Rebecca's fever to go down and nearly four days after that for her to feel well enough to get out of bed. It was that day that Justin brought her the phone.
"Who is it?" she asked, not sure she wanted to talk to anyone.
"Your Professor."
"My what?" she asked as he handed her the phone.
"Rebecca," Professor Payne said, hearing her voice, "How are you?"
"I…I'm fine, I mean, I'm feeling a little better today."
"Well that's good. I'm glad to hear that. Listen, I don't want you to worry about that final project. It wasn't possible for you to do it being so sick. You had an A all semester so that will be your final grade."
"T-thank you," she said, shocked completely by what he was saying.
"No problem. I'll see you next semester."
Rebecca hung up the phone and looked at Justin, "How did you do that?"
"I had our doctor call him, and well, apparently your professor didn't know that you were an honorary Walker."
"What does that matter?"
"Well the Walkers did donate quite a bit of money to your school the last, oh, ten years or so. Let's just say Professor Payne won't be giving you any trouble from now on."
Rebecca smiled, "Have I mentioned you are the greatest boyfriend ever?"
"Once or twice, but if you want to mention it again when you're all better, and maybe in that red bra of yours, well that would be okay too."
