Prompt: countertop

Jess let out a gasp of pleasure and surprise when Adam's hands grabbed her hips and lifted her smoothly onto the countertop of his kitchen.

She was not expecting him to do that.

Not that she was complaining, because she certainly was not.

Adam's mouth left hers and slid down her neck, his teeth nipping at her flesh before he soothed it with his tongue.

No, not complaining at all.

"You feel so good, Jessie," he said as his hands skimmed up and down her body. From another man she wouldn't believe it. From another man it would seem trite and cheesy.

Somehow, with Adam, it sounded real, and she knew he meant it. He was sweet and kind. He was sexy and strong and she wrapped her arms around him, wanting nothing more to be with him forever.

However, maybe not all the way with him, at least not yet.

"Adam, I….not too fast."

He pulled back, and she waited for annoyance, irritation, anger, but of course, there was only a smile and a nod, "Sure…slow. The kissing is good, right?"

She smiled, "Yeah, the kissing is good…it's very good."

He nodded, "Okay, so we'll do that…maybe somewhere more comfortable," he said, picking her up again and carrying her to the couch, "and if you get uncomfortable, well, feel free to slap me."

She smiled as she moved comfortably on his lap, "Never. You're the one man I know I'll never have to slap away," she said, "Now, I want some more kissing, Ross."

"Whatever you want, Detective. I'm here to please."

"Hmmm," she said as he nibbled on the skin underneath her chin, "Great start."
