Hey, Y'all! It's me again! not the actual "mwang" of course, because this IS a shared account and she hardly ever uses it, so...she lets me write fan fictions and publish them! so technically I'm Secret Agent Smart.

Summary: the night after the herd was re-united; again, if you haven't already done so, read Blink Back Tears to know what on earth I'm talking about. 7 hrs after reunion
"...And then- And then I found this...this place, right?" Buck watched with a slightly amused smile on his face as his daughter poured out her life story to him."...And Daddy, you should've seen it! It was the biggest worm EVER!"
Hearing her call him 'Daddy' gave him a warm tingly feeling inside. He hadn't been called that in years. He glanced around; most of the herd was asleep, save for Diego and Dorothy.
Diego rested his head on his paws, watching the teenager babble on and on like an eight year old. It was kind of weird, seeing that swashbuckling weasel as a father, but at the same time...it gave him a weird feeling, like maybe he too could have a family...some day. He shook his head. No, he thought, Love Is Overrated.
Dorothy leaned against her older brother tiredly. Buck's smile faded a little at the edges as Tabitha told him how she'd nearly been eaten by a hawk when she was 12. "But then I got away!" she exclaimed happily. His brow furrowed. That was his fault for not being there for her- for not looking hard enough. She could've been killed, and it would've been all his fault.
She paused a moment to take a deep breath. Apparently talking 300 miles a minute took a lot of oxygen. Her story was winding down though; she was now at the part where she'd met Manny and Ellie. Dorothy interrupted. "Right about this time me and Matt met the possums and Sid."
Now the saber and the weasel were listening to TWO females babble on and on, interrupting each other when needed. Dorothy had moved away, supposedly gaining energy from the chit chat. Tabitha yawned. "I thought I was going to die of hearing his horrible singing..." Her eyes drooped a little, but she wasn't about to give up on finishing this Epic Tale of Courageousness. "But then we got separated by a flood...And I almost drowned..." She yawned. "But you saved me..." She rested her head on his shoulder. "And now it's all over..." "What is?" asked Buck, confused. " Having to fend for myself." His heart nearly broke. At least she got a better childhood than you did. At least you were able to come back for her.
At least she can have a better future.
