Edmund was alone in the woods in a wardrobe, he had been alone for quite some time actually. You see he was lost, because he had lost sight of his bumbling little sister the minute he entered after her and was freezing in the snow for it. He had given up calling for her a long while ago and had started walking the way, or so he hoped, out of the woods. It was freezing, he sneezed. Edmund was in a rotten mood, but as the sun was falling down faster he began to get scared. He was alone in the woods. He picked up his pace as the afternoon sun's last rays hit, he could see the trees start to thin, Edmund smiled to himself only for his smile to turn into a scared agape maw as he heard the startling bay of wolves. The howls were very close and Edmund he could hear them gaining so he ran. He ran and ran for what seemed to be endless wood, Edmund had also fallen once or twice only to get back up quickly, until earth became cobblestone and trees turned scarce. Edmund did not notice the change of scenery as much for when you are in the grips of fright for your life you don't notice things, you simply survive. He arrived in front of great silvery gates that gleamed in the sun, and he pounded on them. The wolves were so close now they were practically on top of him, he continued to scream and pound the doors begging to be let in. The doors did not yield but something else did. Just as the wolves climbed up to the door, the floor beneath Edmund opened up and he fell down. The floor swiftly closed shut as the wolves tried to jump in as well, giving their leader a bump on his nose and a bruised ego.

Edmund was falling, screaming and falling to be precise so much screaming you'd think his throat would be sore by now. His fall was not short, it seemed to take such a long time that Edmund had stopped screaming and by now was just waiting in silent fear wondering when his death would come. The dark had started to give way to lights, first they were far away now they had grown in intensity and range. Edmund saw as rocky walls expanded around an alight underground city, clotheslines zigg-zagged out of tall rock buildings lights shined merrily about and he heard the sounds of the city, he had almost forgotten that he was falling just to drink in this sight until he heard deep throaty yelling. Edmund looked down and saw little shapes and a large bull's eye, his heart seized he saw his arrangement with the pavement. The shapes became figures and their yells understandable, "CURL UP!" They yelled, "CURL UP!" Edmund had decided to do just that and tucked his legs in and hugged them to his chest, not a moment too soon because he hit the bull's eye right after. Instead of pavement or anything hard it was actually quite soft and if Edmund was in the right mood he might even say the drop was exciting, but Edmund had been through too many frights that day to have seen anything fun. Edmund had realized he was quite tired in that moment after all said frights were done and the soft quilt like fabric against his cold skin was rather nice. Unaware of the yelling Edmund had fallen asleep in that strange place in the mountain.
