"Yeah," Vin lamented. "I haven't even gotten a good snooze!"
"I still don't believe that Princess is more interested in a book than me!" Buck complained.
"Believe it," snapped the villain Chris was leading away handcuffed. "She was always more interested in her stupid books than me!"
"Yeah, well, that one's easy to see!" Buck retorted to which laughter rose.
Josiah, who hung back with Nathan, Ezra, Belle, and the aloof hero, looked admiringly up at Beast. "You always were my favorite," he admitted blushingly.
