Ember was in a good mood. The stage had been set, the annoying Dip-stick Phantom had been dealt with, and they actually picked all the brown M 'n' Ms out of the bowl like she had asked! A few minutes to go and she would be the new 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll".

Heading out on to the stage ember began to play. She had gotten halfway through her first song when the lights cut out. The entire stadium was pitch black aside from the soft blue glow from her hair. A few seconds pass and the PA system crackles to life.

"We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a public service announcement!"

In a flash the lights came back on, Danny and his band was on the stage next to Ember and her band. Danny brought his pick to the strings and with one motion started the show.

As the opening bars to "Let There Be Rock" rang out across the stage, Ember looked out in shock. She had expected Phantom to do something, but showing up with his own band! That was the last thing she expected.

In the beginning

Back in nineteen fifty-five

Man didn't know about a rock 'n' roll show

And all that jive

By the time that Ember managed to get over the shock of Danny showing up and stealing her show, he started singing. If the earlier shock of him showing up with a band was anything to go on, her reaction to the fact that Danny could sing was an earth-shattering one, to say the least. Staring on in shock Ember could only watch and listen as her show was stolen.

The white man had the Smoltz

The black man had the Blues

No one knew what they was gonna do

But Tchaikovsky had the news

Now if one were to look into her head at this very moment, you would probably be surprised, it was not anger or hatred that stood forefront in her mind but awe. The very fact that Phantom could not only play but sing also? Ember just couldn't wrap her head around it.

He said:

Let there be sound.

There was sound!

Let there be light.

There was light!

Let there be drums.

There was drums!

Let there be guitar.

There was guitar!

Oh, let there be rock!

Danny, as opposed to Embers feelings of shock and awe, was absorbed in his performing. By the look of the crowd so where they, although Danny wasn't too sure if that was just due to Ember's mind control switching over to him or just him being entertaining. Either way, he really didn't care, the rush he was getting was awesome regardless.

And it came to pass

That rock 'n' roll was born.

All across the land every rockin' band

Was blowing up a storm,

And the guitar man got famous,

The businessman got rich,

And in every bar there was a super star

With a seven year itch.

There were fifteen million fingers

Learning how to play

And you could hear the fingers picking

And this is what they had to say!

Let there be light,

Sound,

Drums,

Guitar,

Let there be rock!

Now the beginning of Danny's plan was pretty solid on what he was going to do. Hijack the stadium's controls, turn off the lights, and steal Embers show. What to do after? Well, he hadn't thought of that yet. Lucky he still had about forty seconds, maybe a little more if he got fancy, to figure that out. That saying, he was pretty absorbed in his music.

One night in a club called "The Shaking Hand"

There was a ninety-two decibel rocking band,

And the music was good and the music was loud,

And the singer turned and he said to the crowd -

Let there be rock!

Ember in the meantime had rebuilt her view on reality, that had been shattered by Danny's performance. If it was anything else that he had done, she would have been furious! But this? For some reason, she couldn't muster up any anger. Annoyance that he hadn't warned her, yes. But anger, no.

"Oh, you're going to get it now Baby-pop!" said Ember moving her hands back to her guitar.

Danny, who had been completely oblivious to everything but his music and the crowd of people who were currently cheering his name, did not see what Ember was doing. Closing out his song Danny turned to Ember and got a shock! Instead of a look of anger or hatred being directed towards him, Ember was smirking, and it wasn't her normal you're going to be in a world of hurt smirk either. It actually looked playful!

Seeing the shocked look on Danny's face, Ember enacted her plan. She walked up to Danny, who still was in a state of shock, and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Two can play this game Baby-pop!" whispered Ember into Danny's ear.

Taking hold of her guitar, Ember began to play the opening chords of "I Love Rock 'n' Roll". Surprisingly, it was Danny's band that began to play along with her, not her own.

Now like Ember, a few minutes before, Danny was almost catatonic in shock. Ember had not tried to kill him, completely, and had kissed him. Admittedly it was on the cheek, but still, it was not the reaction he was expecting!

Danny's brain, which was working overtime, was attempting to reboot after the shock to its system caused by Ember. Sadly, for Danny's poor, poor brain, that is not what Ember had planned. Turning to face the young Halfa, Ember began to sing.

I saw him dancin' there by the record machine

I knew he must a been about seventeen.

The beat was goin' strong

Playin' my favorite song

An' I could tell it wouldn't be long

Till he was with me, yeah me,

An' I could tell it wouldn't be long

Till he was with me, yeah me, singin'

To say the Halfa was focused on only the blue-haired siren in front of him would be an understatement. Literally, the only thing his brain could process currently was Ember. The scene playing out before him was a dream of his, a hot rocker chick playing a Joan Jett song? Needless to say, the next time danny needed a mental pick me up his brain would go to the memory of this moment.

I love rock n' roll!

So put another dime in the jukebox, baby

I love rock n' roll!

So come an' take your time an' dance with me!

Seeing how she affected Danny, Ember took a closer look at him. She liked what she saw, he had ditched the stupid jumpsuit he was in when they first met and instead was wearing an outfit more fitting for a rocker. Black jeans with a black tee shirt, paired with boots and a black studded leather biker jacket. That ecmlbe had Ember's stamp of approval, especially paired with how he had styled his hair, slicked back and a little mussed up. He, in her opinion, looked good, but she wasn't about to start a relationship off of just physical attraction, it didn't end too well for her the first time…

He smiled so I got up and' asked for his name

That don't matter, he said,

'Cause it's all the same

Said can I take you home where we can be alone

An' next we were movin' on

He was with me, yeah me

Next we were movin' on

He was with me, yeah me singin'

As Ember neered the end of her song, danny started to come around. He really didn't want this to end. He had a crowd of people who would cheer for him, there was a hot rocker chick that played Joan Jett, and he was pretty sure that he wouldn't get the shit beaten out of him by said rocker chick. Danny was pretty sure that he had died and gone to heaven!

I love rock n' roll!
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll!
So come an' take your time an' dance with me!

Said can I take you home where we can be alone
Next we're movin' on
He was with me, yeah me
And we'll be movin' on
An' singin' that same old song
Yeah with me, singin'

I love rock n' roll!
So put another dime in the jukebox, baby
I love rock n' roll!
So come an' take your time an' dance with me!*

"Ember! What do you say about a duet?" asked danny as ember finished her song.

Ember had to admit this was fun. The dip-stick was damn good if his earlier performance was anything to go on, not to mention he was, in her opinion, fucking hot. She decided to throw her usual 'No Duets' rule out the window.

* There are about 4 more "I love rock 'n' roll"'s after this, I didn't feel like having the same verse repeated a bunch so I just cut them out. I'm just acknowledging that they are in the actual song.

Please follow and review, even if it is just to tell me that I suck!
