The Last Kiss

Aang strolled the long corridor of the Eastern air temple. He couldn't believe he was the avatar. How could this be? Why did this have to happen to him. This just isn't fair. He already had enough trouble fitting it, and now this. It's just not right.

He walked to his bed and landed on his bed with a soft thud. Arrrrghhh! He screamed into his pillow. He couldn't stay here! Especially when they wanted to take him from Gyatso. Tonight I'm leaving. He thought quietly to himself. He rolled over ad grabbed his sack and packed. On his way out he grabbed his glider. Just as he exited into Kuyi, his childhood friend. Hey whatare you up to Aang? Kuyi questioned. I'm not staying here they are going to take me away fom Gyaso. BBBBButtt Aaaaanngg why? Why would you leave me? Well Kuyi your a great friend and all and I've known you since you were little, but there is no one going to stop me from leaving.

Kuyi started to sob uncontrollably. Whats the matter? Aang questioned. AAAAaangg I...I...I..I Love you. Ya well your like a sister to me Kuyi. Aang responded. No Aang thats not what I ment. Kuya and Aangs eyes locked. Kuyi and Aang could feel the heat and tension rise between them.

Kuyi reached her hand up to touch the side of Aangs face and started to lean in. Before Kuyi was able to lean fully in, Aang pulled back. I'm sorry Aang I shouldn't have... suddenly Kuyi felt Aanngs warm lips on hers as he pulled her into his imbrace. Kuyi just stood there motionless listening to the soft breeze travel through the temple as she kissed Aang. Could this really be happening, her childhood fantasy? Aang deepened the kiss. All of a sudden they heard the footsteps of a approaching monk. Aang quickly pulled away and grabbed Kuyi into hiding in his room.
