Snow. It fell, and fell. Snow, the whiteness that carpeted the forest floor, where my pack runs. I am a Poochyena, one of the several younger members of the pack. I am not young enough to be considered a pup. I am training, training to evolve, to become a Mightyena, to be able to hunt with the others. I can't wait. "Hey! Rose!" shouted a Poochyena, bounding towards me. "Time to get a move on!" Murry, the Poochyena shouted. I let out a grumpy growl, as I raced towards the rest of the pack. They were gathering up the last members, the male alpha- who was a shiny, making him a handsome gold, sitting on a rock. The current, snotty, female alpha, was sitting next to him, snuggling in his neck and smirking as I passed. Darned older sister. I sat with the other Poochyena, and sat in the snow, fluffing up my grey fur, as protection against the lightly falling snow. "We have an announcement, before we leave, for the warmer areas." The male alpha, Mulch, said, his voice as sweet as honey, his blue eyes staring at me, with a look of—PITY? WHATS HAPPENING? I panicked inwards, yet, not showing it-well, hopefully not, on the outside. "Yes. My once darling sister, Rose, is being kicked out." My older sister, Berry, snarled. Uproar passed through the pack. I was a fairly good apprentice, and, by their thoughts, would be a heavy loss. A young Mightyena, recently evolved, shouted, "But what has she done?!" My sister turned to the Mightyena. "Oh, Autumn, young mister, would you like to join Rose?" Her voice was coated with honey, as her cold gaze bore into the male Beta's back. Autumn cowered, a low wimper sounding. "Good. Now, leave, Rose, before I send out someone to kill you," she added, in a low voice, that I had to strain to hear, "That's what you get for liking Mulch.."
A/N Sorry for the short chapter. Hopefully, the others will be longer. Criticism is appreciated, yet flames are not- flames burn! Well… see you, whether it be a day or a month, in the next chapter!
