Hey guys! Second story, and first for the fandom... So, basically, this is an established AU where Loki falls to Earth after his fall from the BiFrost, meets Jane Foster, and they end up together. If you need help with that, I suggest reading Fallen Star by Alydia Rackham. This is a multi-chapter story, and this is only the prologue. I will have the next chapter up in a couple of days, or a couple of weeks. I don't have a set updating schedule, even though I should. Here goes nothing.

Jane POV
Several machines hummed with electricity. Today was the day that Loki and Jane tested the portal for the first time. On the other side of the small lab, Loki stood over the machine reading the pressure and heat, with a slightly confused look on his face.
"Is everything ok? My readings are looking fantastic over here. In another few minutes, we could be looking into another realm." Jane says to him.
"Lady Foster, if you would be so kind as to stay silent for a moment, it would be greatly appreciated." He replies.
A sigh escapes her notice. "Loki, don't call me Lady Foster. You know it irritates me."
"Fine. Jane, would you please come over here and see if I am reading these results right?" He asks.
Walking across the lab in front of the portal, a pull on her shirt turns Jane toward the portal and starts to drag her in. Really fast.
"Loki? I don't think that this should be happening. It's-"
A firm hand wraps around her wrist.
"JANE!"
Suddenly, her feet touch swampy ground. Then Jane's head hits the ground and everything goes black.
