A/N: Hey, this is my first attempt at an Animorphs poem! Hope you all like it! There's something you should know before reading though: every paragraph of the poem is in a different character's PoV! Kudos to whoever can figure out all the characters for the right paragraphs:D With that said, read on and please review!

Should Have, Didn't

I thought I'd never see the day
When we'd bring it all the way
I could do anything, could win any fight
But I couldn't have saved her life

I thought I'd never see the day
When I'd have nowhere to stay
But it was worth it, I guess…
And now I look down on them as I rest

I thought I'd never see the day
When they would finally pay
But did I do the right thing?
Because that means everything

And if I had one last chance
To change what I didn't do
One last chance
To make it all work out for you
I had the possibility
To do everything differently…
And I should have done it…
But I didn't
And I don't regret it

I thought I'd never see the day
When I'd be on my way
In a new life, in a new place
But the tears stick to my face

I thought I'd never see the day
When I could finally fly away
These horrors which crowd my mind
I'll leave them all behind…

I thought I'd never see the day
When they'd carry me away
And leave me here forever
Maybe I wasn't so clever…

And if I had one last day
To change what I couldn't do
One last say
In all those "what" "where" and "who"
I had the choice
I could have done everything differently…
And I should have listened to that little voice…
But I didn't
And I don't regret it

I thought I'd never see the day
Where my life would flash before my eyes
When I'd cry for help, for something to say
But no one answers but demise

I thought I'd never see the day
When all their doubts would fly away
They've won, as they should
And like I'd always known they would…

And I thought I'd never see the day
When there'd be nothing left to say
And I'm not gone enough to smile…
For I now know my hope was worth while

How was that? Good? Not so good? Please tell me what you think!
