Welcome to my nightmare

Hi, my name is Paige and my therapist suggested that telling someone about my problem would help me start to get over it. So I decided to write about my problem and post it on the internet. Anyway back to my problem. I have the exact same dream every night, if you can call it a dream. It is so vivid that I could swear that it was happening and it seems like I can feel everything that is happening to me as if it is real. Welcome to my nightmare.

As I sprint down the alley all I can hear is the vampire chasing me. I see an open door and hurtle through it. It slams behind me but I keep running. It doesn't hold for long. I'm in a large storehouse and all around me are piles of junk. Everything from large sofas, through to broken tennis rackets. There is a loud bang as the door crashes open. The vampire is through. I start running faster. I'm getting panicked and I know I have to hide. I could never hope to outrun a true vampire. I turn a corner, jump to one side and hide behind a leather armchair. The vampire breezes past and calls my name. "Paige. Where are you Paige?"

Finally it goes out of earshot but I know it isn't for long. Eventually it will double back and find my scent. I stand up and creep back the way I'd come. I go back out the door and sprint. It is seconds before I realise I have nowhere to go. The vampire would track me and find me wherever I went. I falter and turn but the vampire has caught up. I try to make a break for it but the vampire reaches forward and grabs me. The vampire rolls her eyes. "It's really tiring when they run but you know me Ryan I'm always good with a chase"

"Yeah, Nicole I know you" says another vampire that comes out of the shadows "Just hurry with the kill. Mike will be waiting"

"But I like playing with my food" Nicole whines. Then she sighs.

I feel the skin on my neck rip open as she bites. It is pure agony and I try to scream but I can't open my mouth. I start to feel faint and I panic but I can't move. My breath becomes shallower. I can't draw enough air in and I am losing consciousness. All I can see are her peculiar ice-blue eyes, all I can hear are my short breaths and all I can feel is my blood slowly flowing out of my body…

That's when I wake up. Screaming, always screaming. I don't know why I have this dream, this problem. Maybe there is something wrong with my brain. But I hope that telling this helps me move on to better dreams, or any dreams, really. Well anyway, thanks for listening, I guess.
