The day was hot and the sun was bright, the only problem was the feeling of dread that rested in her stomach. Charlize Potter couldn't figure out why she felt this way, only that it meant something terrible was going to happen in the coming days. Sometimes small things would happen, like losing something or breaking a dish at dinner. Other times a bad accident would occur. Whether it be a car accident or getting lost on the walk home from school. This time she knew something terrible was going to happen. She just didn't know when. Charlize was sitting in the back yard of her aunt and uncles house on Privet Drive. Waiting patiently for her twin brother, Harry, to get done with his chores. She had already finished hers and was bored out of her mind. Life was boring here. Not even getting scolded would living things up. Getting up off the bench she quietly made her way through the back yard and to the house. Opening the back door and quickly slipping through it she thought of the last time she was this bored. It happened in school and she still couldn't explain it. Disappearing in math and reappearing on the roof of the school, it was honestly unexplainable. She only remembered a warm feeling under her skin and then suddenly cool air whipping through her hair. It had been unsettling at the time but after five years of weird, unexplainable things happening she's gotten pretty used to it. Walking through the kitchen and being very careful not to scuff the floors or leave any evidence of her presence at all, she made her way to the cupboard under the stairs. She shared this tiny space with Harry and since they were both eleven years old it was a tight squeeze, but it was bearable since they both were comfortable sleeping in cramped spaces. Sitting on the tiny cot like bed they shared she thought of Harry and what he must be doing right now. Normally on a daily bases he would be mowing the lawn or taking out the trash. Normally Charlize would be the one to paint the backyard fence but today Harry did something strange. Today was Dudley's birthday and Harry and Charlize had both spoken to a snake and let it loose from its glass enclosure at the zoo. The snake had been very grateful. The oddest part wasn't Dudley getting stuck behind glass that had disappeared and then reappeared, Because of Harry. It was the talking snake. The snake had spoken to them. It had spoken. Charlizes' mind was still reeling from the shock of the mornings adventure when Harry walked in. He was sweaty and very disgusting. Later that night, after dinner, they were sent back to their cupboard where they curled up and tried to get some sleep. Unfortunately there was a different idea in mind for them that night.
A nightmare. Death, screams and green light filled the air around them and then wind on their cheeks and a gruff voice muffled by sleep. -
The sun came up bringing with it a new day full of surprises and a mess. A giant mess...of owls...and their droppings. All over the doormat. Aunt Petunia had shrieked so loud that Charlize had to plug her ears and run to the kitchen to get away from the horrendous noise. Harry followed me in and we laughed quietly. Aunt Petunias' face was priceless. One of the most memorable moments of her life. Harry shook with almost silent laughter. Charlize shook her head and tried to quiet him down. Aunt Petunia could hear things a mile away and Charlize didn't want to get scolded today. She wanted to go outside and see the owls. They refused to leave. But it was to late, Aunt Petunia stormed into the room, her horse face pinched tightly and scowling. " You think this is funny do you," She said. Grabbing the twins and yanking the into the hall. She pulled open the cupboard door and grabbed the broom. Thrusting the broom into Harrys hand she then grabbed the dustpan and pushed into Charlize's chest. " Well since its amusing to you, you will be cleaning it up." She then pushed them towards the front door and strode into the kitchen.
" One would think that by now she would be used to us laughing at them," Charlize said as she and Harry started out the front door. Careful not to step on any of the owl droppings. " I mean, how was that not laugh worthy." "It was, I just think she's mad at the mess. And us, she's always mad at us." Harry replied sadly. He started to sweep the mess on the doormat up into a pile. Charlize knelt down and waited for him to sweep it into the dustpan. Surprisingly it didn't smell as bad as she thought it would. It wasn't pleasant but it wasn't terrible either.
The rest of the day was filled with yelling from Aunt Petunia and whining from Dudley. Harry and Charlize sat in cupboard. Speaking occasionally but mostly doing nothing more then making puppet shadows with the light slipping through the air vent on the door. The next day however was extremely satisfying in many ways and terrible in others.

" That's it were going away, far away, where they cant find us." Uncle Vernon bellowed. Trying to be heard through the noise of the owls outside and the letters fluttering around the room. It was a satisfying sight, Uncle Vernon on the ground half covered in letters. The only problem with this picture was Harry being squished to his chest in a death grip. Charlize was laughing on the inside. Maybe this was the bad feeling. Only this time it wasn't a bad feeling about herself, it was for Uncle Vernon, whos face was turning more and more purple by the second.
She and Harry went to their cupboard upon Aunt Petunias forceful shove and packed what little items they had. Neither of them knew where they were going, they only knew that it was far away. Charlize was happy, at least she had Harry, who was staring at her rather impatiently.
"Will you hurry up, if we stay in here much longer we'll get yelled at." He said grabbing her small bag and leaving her in the cupboard. Harry was always like that, trying not to get into trouble, he always failed miserably, but he would say " at least I tried." Charlize couldn't care less. She believed that if you are a person then you should act like a person. trouble, fun, laughter, to her it was as if she was free. She would finally feel like she had her own choices to make and Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon couldn't tell her no. Charlize was walking towards the living room when The Dursleys came rushing down the hallway, almost running her over. They would have if Harry hadn't pulled her out of the way. "Watch where you're going," Dudley snarled, his fat face red and blotchy. "Are you okay," Harry asked.
"Im fine Harry," Charlize replied. "You don't have to worry so much, they're just bullies.
"Char, its my job to worry, you're my little sister."
"By three minutes, older by three minutes," Charlize grumped, " you'll never let that go will you.
"No, now come on," Harry said and smiled at her, "before they get even more mad at us for something we didn't do."

Turns out far away meant a little island far from shore and every other living person on the earth. Char had had a hard time not laughing at The Dursleys, Uncle Vernon and Dudley were both so heavy that she thought the boat would sink for sure. Now everyone was nestled into the little shack in the center of the island. It was actually quite cold thanks to the raging storm outside. Char and Harry were curled up on the floor in front of the couch that Dudley was sleeping on. They huddled together for warmth and were not quite able to get comfortable because of the hard packed dirt they were lying on. Char wasn't tired yet and it was almost midnight so she and Harry sat up drawing small pictures in the dusty dirt. At 11:55 they drew a cake with their names on it, added candles and flames and then blew the picture away at midnight. At the same time they blew it out a bang was heard from the front door of he tiny shack. Uncle Vernon came down the stairs as fast as his fat legs would allow him with Aunt Petunia at his heels. In his hand he held a double barrel rifle. Char couldn't help but wonder why he brought a gun with him, was he expecting someone to attack them. Another bang and then a cash and the front door was blown off its hinges. landing on the floor. A man stood in the doorway. It wasn't just any man, he was huge, a giant, it scared Char so she pushed closer to Harry who wrapped his arm around her shoulders. The man stepped into the shack just as Uncle Vernon shot the rifle, the bullets missed and the man walked over to Uncle Vernon and bent the barrels backwards, so they aimed at the ceiling.
" Wh're ar' they," the man asked, his voice gruff and familiar, she couldn't place it though. Uncle Vernon shook with rage. "They'll not be going ," he bellowed. "Wh're ar' they," The man bellowed back. Scaring Char more. Harry tightened his grip on her shoulders for a moment before standing up.
"Where are who," Harry asked with as much confidence as he could muster. The man turned towards him quickly. His face half hidden behind a very bushy beard and moustache. The mans eyes flickered from Harry to Charlize and back again. "Where are you," The man said taking a step towards Harry. " Harry and Charlize Potter"
" Who are you and why do you know our names," Harry asked smoothly.
"M' names Rubeus Hagrid and I've come to take you to Hogwarts."
