The blue-haired child flopped onto his back and let the cat investigate his face with her cold nose. His eyes closed and giggles bubbled out of him as tiny puffs of breath tickled his cheek, and the bell on her collar made faint chiming noises as she sniffed. A paw pressed hesitantly onto his face, resulting in an eruption of giggles that made the cat flinch. The chiming noises got more definite and the breaths disappeared from his face, so Kuroko opened his eyes to see his beloved pet being held by his older-by-two-minutes brother.

"Aw Sei, put her down, we were playing!"

"And I'm trying to play my violin, but you and this cat are distracting,"

Kuroko groaned in protest and kicked his feet lamely on the floor.

"Go play with your friend in our room, I'm trying to focus out here," Akashi insisted with a voice of authority.

"Fine," Kuroko whined, and sprang up to have the cat returned to him.

A few minutes after Kuroko disappeared into their room, Akashi found another reason to be annoyed.

"Tetsuya!" he yelled, "Turn that crap off!"

The music that was seeping out of their room only got louder with his request, so he put down his violin and stormed into their room. Akashi took the nearest object, a basketball, and hurled it at the source of all the noise. Kuroko dropped the offending cellphone, and it was swiped by the aspiring violinist.

"You're not getting this back until after I'm done practicing!"

Kuroko crossed his arms and stuck out his lower lip.

"How old are you?" The red-head demanded.

Kuroko's pout disappeared and he stared blankly at his brother.

"Two minutes younger than you, Sei."

Akashi rolled his eyes and tucked the cellphone into his pocket so he could practice in peace.
